Has anyone had to fill out an academic change request on AMCAS? How long does it take for them to process that? Do they notify schools if they make a change? They miscalculated my gpa as only being a 2.9 when it should be more like a 3.5. I talked to them on the phone and they acknowledged the error and said I had to submit an academic change request, but didn't really offer any specifics on the process.

I guess it just makes me nervous that right now my application status is "processed" and my app is available to all the schools I selected, but shows me having only a 2.9 gpa.

If anyone has any info or experience with this process, I'd love to hear about it. Until then, I'll just continue drinking pot after pot of coffee and freaking out. :scared:
Just kidding...sort of 😀

Hey,
18 credit hours skipped over, right? I just talked to AMCAS this morning about my gpa miscalculation and she said that the academic change request will take 5-10 days to process. As far as your status, she said that my application will not be backed up. As long as it has been "processed," it will stay that way. As for the schools...they won't even get your app untill beginning to middle of July, so don't worry bout it. Just send in the academic change request as soon as you can, if you haven't done so already. This is a really stressfull process, but I think we can get through it alive. At least we caught our mistakes. 😱 :luck:
