Hey class of 2006!! Where'd ya get in ?? Where did you decide on (if you were lucky enough for multiple acceptances)

Shout out and meet some classmates! (hopefully) If they're not here, get 'em here gosh darn it!

Hey cpw, i'm coming to UHCO, it's my hometown and the only school I applied to. See you there!

Hello CPw

I also got accepted to class 2006. I am looking forward to going in. I am visiting Houston in 2 weeks to look for apartments, daycare and public school for my wife.

Congrats guys! If you have any questions about your first year and what to expect feel free to ask! As you can see it's past midnight and I'm still awake. I was at Rice U. studying for the ocular anatomy test we have tomorrow. We had pathology this morning. (You'll learn to LOVE test weeks!) I have two more on Friday!! Yipee!

Time for bed before my brain cells start to foget the innervations of the lacrimal gland, the osmolarity of tear film in a closed eye, and the reason why I"m paying someone to do this to me.

I finally decided. I'm going to UHCO!!!

hey Optometry and vasquez32, thought I would say hello to some future classmates. vasquez32, did you check out any local apartments yet at UH? I'd be interested in what you thought about them, as far as price and convenience go. I plan on looking around when I'm down next week for Spring Break. See ya in August.

Hey you guys, congratulations on your acceptances! Like you all, my main worry was finding a place to live. I looked at the apartments close to campus (Bealls, Macgregor Gardens, others ~450 for a 1/1) but found that it wasn't very student friendly. The apartments in the medical center (Scotland Yard, some others on Holly Hall ~550+ for a 1/1 and ~850 for a 2/2) were much nicer and most residents are students. You will be getting lots of information from UHCO about the city of Houston, and more importantly, a few apartment locators that can show you around.

Congrats again!

Hey all. On the same note, I just got matched to a residency program. The program is in ocular disease at a VAMC and starts July 1st. I'm pretty psyched about it.

Good job Mike,

You will learn alot at the VA. They usually provide you with alot of leyway esp. if there is no ophthalmologist avaliable (like here). The only bad thing I see in store for you is dealing with a bunch of old men....but they're a hoot but not too easy on the eyes <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> . You will see everything from corneal ulcers to PDR, to lot's of glaucoma.

Good Luck

Hi Everyone,

I got accepted to PCO and Newenco. Its a tough decision, but I am going to go to PCO. Congrats to everyone who got in!

Congrats Christie! I know it's a hard decision to make, but I'm sure you made the best one for YOU!! Good luck next year! I'm sure you can't wait for it to start. I'm in the middle of an exam week and I can't wait for it to be OVER!!

Five more weeks!!!!!!

Thanks cpw! Good luck with your exams!!
