So long story short, one of my parents has always told me they only went to an undergrad but never finished. Just recently found out that they did indeed finish and that they have a B.S. On my first application, I said that the highest degree they got was a HS diploma, but now Im going to fill it in that they got a B.S.

Are schools going to look at this and be like "wtf" and then just assume I was deliberately lying on my first application? Or am I overthinking things and schools don't actually do a side-by-side comparison of your previous primary application? And in case anyone is wondering whether this determined my SES status, it didnt. My other parent I know forsure got a degree because the job they have traditionally requires one and that was accurately reported my last cycle.
