I took the ACS exam last year. I found it really difficult, but somehow I did really well on it 😵

the ACS kicked my ass....it actually dropped my grade in the class to a C-....i am trying to pick it up to a C 🙁 damn ACS

Can anybody tell me what concepts to focus on while I'm studying?

I'm looking over the review my professor gave me now, and half the material on the review is things we didn't learn in class. 🙁

I took it last year and totally recommend getting the ACS study guide- it totally saved my butt and made it way easier.

I took it for gen chem 1 and 2. The 1st was pretty easy but this semester the 2nd was really hard. I guessed on a lot of them and the average going around my school is below 50% 😱

Ya I did really well on the first one but this one was friggen ridiculous. Ugh it is going to bring my grade down a **** load

After the tests my professor gave the ACS final was a walk in the park. I think I got a 90% on it? For the guy who said you need to do some work in Organic, don't worry; I didn't do the greatest in gen chem(I- B, II- A-) and I have a 97% test average in OChem I going into my final next week. It takes work, but honestly I think gen chem could be one of the harder chem classes you can take in undergrad if you learn through indepth understanding and work at it more long term. I learn like that, and the constant changing of subject matter every 2-3 weeks really didn't help me learn the material the best. Organic though, EVERYTHING builds off what you did before, which also means if you get behind on someone it's going to bite you in the ass hard later on when you still need to know it.
