Hi
I also did a little bit of research and this "nasa1" has been praising and recommending the "dental supply" through out all his/her posts.
Drill....is there any way to block such business minded people on this educational forum?

I can tell you my own experiance about this "dental supply" thing. I sent them an e-mail after hearing about them again and again from "Nasa1". They replied and said that I can get all the material in 350 dollars. I got happy that this is such a sheap package but then I sent them another e-mail and asked whether these will be soft or hard copies (as they don't tell you clearly in their e-mails that they will be soft copies). After my 2nd e-mail, they replied and said that all these would soft copies so one has to make print outs.

One of my friends asked the 'dental supply' to send him Boucher. They asked him ( my friend) to deposit 100 dollars through credit card , he did. then they asked him again to deposit 50 dollars more. He did but didn't get the Boucher , then he asked them the reason. They told him that the book is out of stock but thanks God that they refunded his money atleast. So I request all of my fellows to be extra careful when placing some order through such websites through your credit cards.

Best of luck to all of you.
Cheers

hi there...
well that is 'some' research you guys did.👍..thanks it really does make people aware of such things...
about a week or two, a guy mailed me out of nowhere and said that he too was giving his part A exams and was willing to sell a lot of his books and study material ...i only kept thinking if he is going to sell out everything what is he going to study from..and he has not just mailed me but has posted his e-mail on various other sites too.i guess these dealers have come up with a new strategy of posing themselves as exam going students and selling their material...

anyways by the end of it that still leaves me confused as to where to buy my books from...so if you guys could please let me know the various places where i can get previous mcq papers and saq papers that would be very helpful...thanks

sorry i don't have it.didn't know it existed.wow!
kindly send it if u get it.

It looks like there is no such thing as otc material maybe. Or those who have them are not inclined to sharing. However if anyone have the OTC material, or soft copy of clinical exam questions recalled by past candidates of ADC please send me on [email protected]

And I don,t know if any of you guys in melbourne have a study group, I am willing to join. Send me an email on the same address. Or we can start one.😕

...I really think we should forget about this dental-supply and keep studing hard, 3 weeks to go.......................

😀😀😀😀😀 ONCE AGAIN, THX DRILL!!!!!!!:meanie::meanie::meanie::meanie::meanie:

As long as your friend got the money back it is ok and how can you say that the dental book company is shady. I never had any bad experience with this dental supply. I placed some order and got my Books in time.

The sample paper you get from the ADC is not the one used for examination. It is not an open book examination, so don’t take it seriously it is a sample (Model) sheet.

hi drmelbourne , hope and alldent 👍
apparently there are someone working for dentsupply are "spying" on this forum and giving " scary, discouraging" comments , that is for only one purpose-------to lead ppl to buy materials from dentsupply .

I haven't had any contact with dentsupply ppl and don't know if it is good or not.but as this is an open forum, ppl can have their own judgement after reading all the posts . 😉

Also wendy718 , please delete the link that you put in your post. It is a violation to post links for downloading copyright violating books. thanks.

I was going through some of your comments and discussions on the thread. I don’t understand why you guys are fighting etch other for nothing, talking some thing you don’t even know. There are many members in these Forums old and new. Please don’t bring up personal discussions and personal opinions for discussions. We are all come to this thread to study rather than discussing about personal problems. I had bad experience with many books shop including AMAZON.com it dos not mean that I come and discuss my personal problem to all of you. I purchased books from dental supply last year and I did not have any problem. Thanks

Hi
I don’t need to prove to you or to any one . Sorry to say that I will only share the materials with people who need them.

If you cant help someone like DrMelbourne who has helped so many people around it would only prove that you are not interested in helping poeple.
BTW i also had a very bad experience with dental supply. They charged me $150 and then said that they dont have boucher in the stock. Why did they waste my precious time and energy if they never had it in there stocks.

Hey......... Guess everybody else is getting the best of it 😀 😀 😀

Nasa why dnt u send me those new papers or material that you have and I'll vouch for you in the thread that this guy is genuine.👍 😀 😀 😀

I just wanted to share some info abt the reference material for the different parts of the ADC exams.

The official website of OET is www.occupationalenglishtest.org. The cost and details are given on the site. there is some sample material on the site itself and other u can order frm them or if sum1 has it in soft copy format on the net download it frm there (I think sonpari, and drmelborne have a common mial id on google on which they upload stuff like this) I only ve the hard copies but i dnt need them anymore as I've passed the OET.

COST OF THE OET

The cost of the OET is different depending on where you sit the test. All prices are in Australian dollars.

OVERSEAS

AUSTRALIA

Full sit (4 sub-tests) $ 775 Full sit (4 sub-tests) $ 510 3 sub-tests $ 600 3 sub-tests $ 405 2 sub-tests $ 425 2 sub-tests $ 280 1 sub-tests $ 225 1 sub-tests $ 165

For ADC u ve to register 1st with the ADC. They will provide u with a registration number after an assesment process. you shud send all the required documents and they will issue u a number for further interaction and u will only be able to sit the ADC prelim and final exam after u get that number. the assessment form is available on the ADC website. and its pink in colour. They will charge 505A$.
Te reference material for these exams is already posted on the previous threads. plz consult those.

Hope this helps out.:luck:

hey i don't mind you set up your own buddy group. but the information you provide here from #7--#10 are totally plagiarized from my work.

If you don't delete them , i will inform forum moderator to involve.

To Nasa1,

You and your so called "dental supply friends" are no longer welcomed in this thread any more for no explanation. Please, SHUT your mouth UP !

What about your own buddy group? go back there and help those who would like you to help.

BTW, I can not believe my eyes that a practising dentist like you would Plagiarize someone else's work without asking for permission. Here is a warning to you, if you don't delete them immediately. I would report to forum moderator 👎thumbdown

Thank u so much drill, dr melbourne and others who spent ur vauable time to give the lesson to people who need.

go back to study, study hard and dont waste ur valuable time even one minute as everbody found the true.

I understand u drill as we all know how much effort u have done to make this forum to be helpful for others.
appreciate

hey nasa 1

well we all support drill
and expect u to delete the stuff u have copied
in humble interests we expect u to follow the norms of forum
cant believe professionals behaving in nt a rational manner

hi drill

we all support u
and know how much we have worked to make this gp successful
its irony that we being in such noble profession have people who dont mind using their vested interests where ever they can ...

nasa1 we are expecting u to show some noble behaviour and expect u to delete drills work which u have copied in ur grp

rest its a suggestion for all aspiring dentists to think before taking any step and falling into traps of people who want to make money

cheers

Hi Everybody,
I could no longer be a silent watcher and see all the hardwork of Drill goes to dump. I haven't been posting lately as I am satisfied with so many here delivering excellent answers and service to people in need.👍 And at the moment lack specific information regarding ADC....still at Prem level. Going thru this forum was so informative and eyeopening till this nonsense started. 😡😡
People like Nasa1 are merely salemen who want to progandize dentsupply. On top of that had the audacity to start a new thread a complete plagiarism of Drill's thread. Shame on such professionals for committing treachery. 👎thumbdown👎
Sorry everybody for above remarks...needed to speak my mind in support of Drill and this forum from who I gained so much information and where I found true freinds who really guide and support.
I guess, we should get back to what we really here for. Lets forget and study ---
All the best to friends for Prem in march!!!!👍
cheers

Dear drill !!

u have done a great job !!!

this thread is like no other.....

and for me ( and lot of other friends ) you are a legend....

so , we do not care about some people who try to make money...

drill !!!!! go ahead !!!!!

and i hope that from now on this thread will find back its main purpous....

to provide good advise, and support to those who are in need.....

drill!!! god bless you......

take care

Guys,
When I first posted about dental supplly I was sure about all this and what worries most is the fact that what he is doing is illegal, it's a crime! But now that is pretty obvious what it is going on, people can make their own judgement.
Well done Drill and DrMelbourne!
I trully beleive that you should revive this forum with questions and information the way that is used to be.
Thanks guys
Lets keep studing
Lets keep smiling

Cheers

Hi all
i want to start by preparing for the oet exam and was wondering about the material , as i read in their site that there is a profession specific and not profession specific books, so should i chose the dentistry specific or non or both ? and is there any other material that can help me?
thank u:luck:

Can you guys say what you think about formocresol pulpotomy?
I learnt that is an old fashion technique and should be used only in very specific cases, but according to Boucher it’s highly advocated. I know that is an old book so my question is: What is the ADA recommendation? What is the best answer for ADA exam?
I’d be glad to hear some ideas…
Cheers

OET will be dentistry specific for writing and speaking only. For listening and reading will be about general health issues, more commonly medical issues.
