Hi ppl..as andreas mentioned stick to the o'dell n the past q's ...and any other useful info that's posted in the old thread..helped us to clear part 1 at a go
abt the clinical exam ..am preparing on my own .. planning to clear it at a go It's not necessary to get enrolled in OTC program..ofcourse it does give u an insight on to the exam pattern ..but i know many dentists who have cleared it without attending the Melb course ..so not to worry on that part ...
its just that if u talk with the ones who were not able to clear it ..they try to demoralise you ..so just need to hv faith on urself n be optimist
n yes ..Mr. Golden dentist ..we r still around " the old timers " eh ??

OET 😡 I think it's just their annoying style, kind of difficult to be used to.. Like giving the information about the venue and time 1-2 days before the actual date of the test. Shame on you, OET!!

Hello dentists.

I will tell you that even this time they were tough, not nice to us overseas trained dentists (like they don't want us and it's not a shortage of dentists in this country).
Whatever.
First day of Prelims and First paper were OK, many questions were familiar really, many not. But they really made it more complicated by trying to confuse you..
SAQs questions were not you would expect...

Second day were tough again, paper 2 was NOT easy at all. But many questions are familiar again.

Now it's my personal opinion about the preparation.
Maybe I won't be original.
But, I think that there is not an universal way of preparation for Preliminary, there are as many ways as we are. I was reading many books this time. Essential is all previous MCQs from former tests. You can't know what they have in their minds and what information of you they want this time.

The most important thing in this process and I believe in it in 100% it to HELP EACH OTHER to crack this awful complicated ADC examen, try not to be selfish and think that there are many others in the same hopeless situation.

I'm here if you have any more Qs.

i know what you mean all the best for the bbq.
i have found out that financial assistance is given for the exam fees of the qualifying exams if we clear certain requesites like being a permanant resident and having a health card.
but the big fees will have to be incured by us.

Well, I did my speaking subtest of OET yesterday, it's just ab. 5 min conversation in the begining and then 2 cards, about situation in the dental surgery, but they rather check your ability to communicate than your dental knowledge. All takes about 15 minutes. I think it shouldn't be a problem if you're writing and speaking as well, just relax, usually they are friendly there.

Just one thing about OET, they are SO slow to inform you about date and venue, and they say that they sent an e-mail but niether me, nor other students got it, so if I didn't call the evening before, I had to wait like 3 more months. 😡😡😡
I'll sent you my MCQs when I finished correcting it.

well atlast i have got sumbody who has gone through the same hell i am going through
i mean whst do this guys want to do have us a heart attack😱😱
my oet is in 15 but just look at me i dont even know whether the centre will be near my place or miles apart
this is heights of professionalism especially after paying all the load of money
