while reading I've come across two classifications of
amelogenesis imperfecta ane is by clinical
demonstration hupoplastic, hypocalcyfied and
hypomature and the other by genetic transmission 9
autosomal dominant, recessive and x- linked. Does some
body know the preffered for the test since I'm not
reading Cameron.
The other confusing classification is of Orthodontic
needs again this classification classifies the ned to
reffer to ortho treatment into a Dental health
componenet and an Aesthetic component. Agian do you
know which applies for the test?

Hi.
You'll have Paper 1 at the first day and SAQs at the afternoon and Paper 2 of MCQs on the second day. Paper one includes 3 sections, and the Paper 2- 4 sections, so it's 80+80=160 MCQs at both days.

Even if the tap water is fluoridated, some people don't drink it, but instead they use bottled mineral water that doesn't contain fluoride whatsoever. If this is the case, fluoride supplements should be considered.

One should also keep in mind the halo effect, meaning, that even if the person doesn't drink fluoridated wated, the products that he gets in the diet (mean, fruits and vegetables) probably do contain some level of fluoride.

In any case, there's no harm in recommending topical fluoride applications in a form of a concentrated gel every time the kid is in your clinic for a routine checkup.

even i also agree on this matter that exams shuld be conducted thrice a year becase there is a long waiting period in between the exams. even if we skip the deadline for one exam we have to wait another six months which means you have to wait for one more year by additional date we will get one more chance. even i also requested the adc for this thing but there reply was "sorry" so i request all of you to join hands and hope for the best

If the march exam is passed then there is no guarantee thati n nov ,the clinical can be done as it depends on the numbers of candidates ,their grades ,how many times they have done the prelim,exam etc,they have made the dead lines in a way that if you dont pass one exam then the next possibility is 8-9 month later ,That is the info I have got from gdc .I have already written to the health minister tony Abbott and to the queensland health minister ,as I think they should increase the exam dates and have a better structure and more info.provided to us ,I feel they dont treat us with respect and the system is in the hand of some powerful dentists who dont want competetion so they can justify their high fees and blame it on the dentist shortage .If someone doesnt pass the sep prelim exam then they have to repeat it in march and then wait 9 month for the clinical and by then it is not guaranteed that any place will be offered for the clinical exam.I have talked to the gdc many times .I have also contacted channel 7 (tv)and awiting their response .I think it would help if we were united and made as much noise as possible after all we dont want to avoid the exams we just want more dates atleast one more for the prelim.and one more for the clinical and more information about what isexpected from us in those especially in the clinical exam.
I will not keep quiet untill someone somewhere is listening but we have to do it together .Dont you think?
