Sorry to create yet another thread asking for advice.
But I would love to get some honest advice from those who have gone through or are attending Yale's MPH program.
I have been accepted into 3 schools (Harvard SM HPM/Columbia MPH HPM/ Yale MPH EMD) and am now having a hard time deciding.
If this is purely a ranking exercise, then the choice is clear (H!). But seeing how some of my friends love their Yale and Columbia experiences (albeit in non-MPH and undergrad), I am interested to be swayed in my decision 🙂
What would you guys choose?
Here's my take on things so far...
- Harvard for the name, tradition and ranking (CW is 80 credits though!!)
- Columbia for NYC, strong HPM faculty and urban epi experience
- Yale for campus culture, small and personable classes and research opportunities(?)
I have strong interests in both health policy and epi so ideally I hope to have the best of both worlds, plus the opportunity to immerse in research projects and community outreach efforts.
Still undecided over the phd - taking things easy for now.
Thanks in advance for any help coming my way 🙂
