advice needed, re-applicant!

im a foreign dentist , basically a re-applicant dis yr

with stats 88/3.85/107

work exp--
nearly 2 years including private practice , lots of healthcare volunteer too
1 year teaching exp
2 months observershp in usa
2 certificates of appreciation
5 cde in my homeland

bt no research or publications

bt still waiting to hear for calls dis yr, californian schools done, hop fr sum miracle for bu, bdw i did gt interviewed in nyu last yr bt put on waitlist tht nevr cleared...........
dont knw what to do more, i hope a mha/mph is nt necessary to add research, publications in my resume n i seriously dnt want to go fr tht as a pathway fr dds ,
instead i feel for goin fr nbde 2 , bt time is running out fast, already 2yrs gone aftr my graduation n part 2 nxt yr means applyin fr d 3rd consecutiv yr again!!

The only things seem that you can work upon is : personal statement, letters of recommendation and part 2...
Personal statement works wonders for people. do check some really nice samples at http://www.dmdstudent.com

same goes for letters of reco..

give your part 2 , anyhow you would have to give it sometime, why not now , if it can gt you where you want. Believe me its more interesting and easy to prepare than part 1...

hi dreamdoc11, my situation is more or less like urs....m plannin to write part 2 this feb coz i also dont want to do mph..i feel part 2 prep will be more helpful....m tryin to collect part 2 material to study and hopefully ll start this wk!!

yeah i hv thot fr part 2, most probably im gonna go fr it bfore nxt cycle...

bt as for lor's..i feel dey r pretty gud may b tim to gt sum more advice on sop,,bt i tried getin it read from a former idp student(now a DDS) n she said its fine..

bt stil, ill work hard again on al d 3 points u mentioned..thanx

personally, i want to do DDS only, in usa; nt gonna land in usa fr mph/mha fr sure!! though i understand DDS is quite competing to gt in , bt evn aftr part 2 if i mis d calls thn it wil be denstiny, i hv put all my sincere efforts n time!!
