So I applied to a bunch of DO schools. My application was undelivered because I didn't list my AP credits. I fixed it and hope to be verified by this week or the next. Here's my question. My unofficial GPAs are 3.19 sGPA and 3.53 Other Science and then I have 6 units of 4.0 at another school for O-Chem (summer class).

Anyway, I took the MCAT on 9/3 and scores will not be released until 10/5. I already have one MCAT on file a 31R (10-12-9). I hope I did better on the 9/3 one.

So should I add that to my application and if I do add it will they hold my application for evaluation until AFTER they receive a score? Or should I leave it out to be evaluated for secondaries and interviews and send an update letter when the time comes?

Thanks for your help guys.

If it makes any difference I still have a stack of MD secondaries to get through so secondaries from DO schools that are lower priority will be started in about a month. I would do Western, TOURO CA and Touro NV earlier though. Thanks guys.

31 is a pretty high score. You may just go ahead and submitt your primary/secondaries and you may tell the new MCAT score when it comes out.

damn dude, i didnt know you had a 31, your a beast lol

Why would you retake a 31?

1. To attempt to make up for a subpar GPA
2. To justify my claim that I understood the material since I didn't do too hot in some prereqs.
3. Jealousy of my friend's scores
4. Performing better on AAMC's so I thought I could beat it
5. It was unbalance and I couldn't live with a 9 in biology - that was my bread and butter. I didn't want to settle for 50-60th percentile in my own major.

Anyway basically my question is, if I notify AACOMAS and AMCAS to expect scores from this past administration will my application be put on hold until my scores are published?
