Hi SDNer's,

I'm just looking for some advice.

I am non traditional student with the following stats:
overall GPA: 3.7
sGPA: 3.6
MCAT 1st time: 18N (6,4,8)
MCAT 2nd time: 17M (7,2,8)

I am signed up to take the MCAT in March, but have already submitted my application. As a result, I have interview offers from NYCPM, KSUCMP, and Scholl. Temple denied me.
I just don't know if I can improve on the MCAT given that I took it two times, but I will it give a shot anyways and perhaps change my ways of studying. I know I can't buy my way into POD school with such a low score.
Do you think I should continue with the interview, or wait until April to see my scores. Idk.. I'm just very confused and would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

Probably continue it anyway. But you can take the MCAT again if you want to,although they might ask you about the 2. If you have an interview, go for it, you don't know what will happen

Go for the interview. You can always update your MCAT after you take it again. That is, if you need to take it again.

Get more books, set aside more time and practice

I'm thinking you may have a difficult time passing the podiatry boards given that you got a two. I hate to be a Debbie downer...

I scored low on the verbal section of the MCAT and I passed boards and ended up being in the top 20% of my class. Boards questions are discrete questions. Most questions stems are 2-3 sentences. Very few questions are more than that. I finished the exam with time to spare.

I had a higher overall MCAT score than the OP though...but I still feel having a low verbal score is not the end of the world.

EDIT: In fact DMU did a research study investigating cGPA vs sGPA vs. MCAT and which one was a greater predictor of academic success in the first two years of podiatry school at DMU. They found that cGPA actually mattered more followed by sGPA. That study was printed in the December 2012 edition of JAPMA.
