Hi RKD, are you on the Nov 9th batch? Im also there. The interview process is about 1h long, including waiting time, and can be cut short or extended depending on the interview. Early morning means more ppl waiting outside and it depends on the interest the interviewer has on knowing you a little bit more. Id schedule a 2h interview, then arrange for transport back home. see you on the 9th! Remember, save the best for last, heheh j/k

I was scheduled for 10 am and had my interview around 12 noon... my fight back was at 2:40 pm.

It doesnt really matter now, up to them. Will wait till january-february
 
Did the resident said yesterday there are sixteen openings .....does that include the US graduates too?
 
well we were told that there were 10 spots altogether, for both 1y and 2y...

just a quick query regarding the AEGD Program for Foreign trained dentists at EDC.Do they publish the selection of residents through MATCH?
or How are they going to inform the applicants.why I am asking this is I found EDC AEGD in list of programs participating in MATCH.I would deeply appreciate if anyone could help .........

They will call you and send you and acceptance letter.

The day i went for interview there was almost 25 candidates there.Interview was taken by Dr Yunker and Dr Malmstorm.Both of the doctors were very nice.They will take about 15 mins for each candidate.Just be yourself thats it.No theory related questions.The residents were very friendly and nice.🙂
 
x) Called Dr.Malstrom to thank him personally for accomodating me at the interview and making this experience so comfortable. Asked him about next year if there is any stipend...he said he is not sure usually there is no tution(not sure about that either for next year) nor stipend for international dentists.

x) Informed the faculty to resident ration on the floor is 6:1.

x) About the research, residents have to come up with their own proposals....work with the mentors to get them approved....do the clinical work and than statistics.

x) There is no increase in the number of the residents even after setting up the new emergency setup at Eastman.

x) There are no minimal requirements to get the certificate but u have to perform all kind of procedures.

x) Chances of getting into the other PG programs increases significantly.
 
The final countdown started... good luck to everyone... for me this is the best program one can apply and, if accepted, one you will really enjoy!!!

Any body hear any thing from them ? when they will start sending the acceptance:laugh: or the rejection🙁 any news?:scared:
 
Nothing yet....did anybody tried calling ....I was going thru the yesteryears posts/threads people into the three year program got acceptance as early as december in 2009 but last year the decisions were made pretty late.
Is it late enough to start calling the co-ordinator?
What u all say?

I think it's still early.
They said the final decisions would be made late January or early February. This time could be taking them more time because there were more interviews I beleive.

6 days x 15-20 candidates/day = b/w 100-120 altogether.
 
I am inclined to think thats it. There were lots of applicants this year and they vary on the response time for acceptance/rejection. Lets not get impatient until January 31st, hehe

No MATCH for foreign dentists just for US or CAN graduates......good luck 2 everyone....We will welcome you guys to the group.👍

Hey Xander25, have you heard anything from the doctors about the process?
 
So if I read this right the US CAN candidates need wait the MATCH day which is JAN 31st. Which means NO INFORMATION AVAILABLE prior to this date. So lets wait and see!! That date is imprinted in my brain, it haunts me now... :S

Hi
Could you please guide me on how to apply for aegd. i have my nbde part 1 score , reserach background. but not a US resident. Any help is very much appreciated

Do you know how many seats? and when they will send the letters,are they will call also,please share if you have any information?
 
when we will know regarding it...how many days its gonna take it?
