A sine qua non personal characteristic of being in a degree program conferring a doctorate upon graduation is to be a hard worker.
Even the relatively lazy medical student is not lazy by the standards of normal people.
I still suppose ones perception of productivity is always going to be relative, even in medical school.
Occasionally, there occurs an impetus of either internal or external origin that causes me to briefly break though into that "next level" of productivity.
I can never seem though to hold on to this actualized self.
If you are one of these amazing people how do maintain this state of motivation and focus?
How do you do it while still maintaining the integrity of your ego? I find it difficult to cloister my mind off from other things outside the immediate topic at hand under most circumstances.
