All MCAT dates are now open?

A few of my friends were previously registered for the May exam (27th and 31st). However, they all wanted the June 13th date and only signed up for May as a backup. Well somehow they have been able to register for June 13th even though AAMC still has not opened registration for that date. When they go to register, they are able to see all dates up to September. But, for some reason I cannot see any dates past May31st. I hadn't previously signed up for a exam in May so is this the reason why?
I don't understand how they can and I can't? Can any of you who are currently signed up for May check this out. Just go to change your MCAT date and look to see what dates you can change to in the drop-down menu. I would appreciate it if someone could get back to me with this.

I will call AAMC and see if they know what's going on.

It's possible your friends found a loophole... but I'm waiting to sign up for July and it isn't offered yet although I was suprised that I could still sign up for May dates in the London Trios center.... When I tried to sign up for the written test in London 4 days after it opened two years ago I was out of luck...

So I wouldn't worry if I were you... AAMC will put an announcement up for new registration, I would just check back there regularly.

Alright so I called AAMC and they told me that they don't know how these people were able to sign up since they have not opened any dates past May yet. They actually checked one of my friend's file and saw that he was indeed signed up for June somehow. This was the first time they had even heard of it. So I guess the dates are still "closed".

I just went to check the registration site and now it says it's down for maintenance. Maybe your call prompted them to fish around for the loophole! Interesting!

However, they forgot to update their maintenance prompt.
