Does anyone have any info on what residencies are ideal if someone wants to do allergy/immunology? Are you hurting yourself by going to a residency that does not have an A/I fellowship, but has a good IM program (UNC-Chapel Hill)? Anyone know which A/I fellowships are the best of the best?

i know very little about this specialty except that northwestern is supposed to have a very good program, which they are proud of. if you're a resident there, you've probably got a good shot and getting the fellowship there. otherwise, (i have no info to back up this statement, mind you) i can't imagine it would be all that tough to get a fellowship somewhere if you come from a solid medicine program.
