I know of a hospital in my area that is currently under contract with an AMC. It's a small community hospital with mainly bread and butter stuff. About 8 years ago the care at the hospital was run by a nice group of anesthesiologists with a few CRNAs on staff. The group lost the contract to the AMC and long story short over five years the staff turnover has been high and they are constantly looking for suckers to fill their empty spots. What would be the likelihood of approaching the hospital with a business model and taking the contract back? Anyone heard of this happening?
