I sent mine June 23 and it's still not verified yet! Last name "R." All transcripts have been in for a while now... This is really annoying. I just want to get started on the next part so I can get nervous about something else.

When it gets processed, the status changes to------> "processed"

This makes me excited, I went active on 7/11 also...so maybe there is some hope.

So let me get this straight... the process is:

Submit
Active
Verified
Processed

Right? I thought Verified and Processed were the same thing... 😕

verified: tick, tock.... tick, tock....

i got an email from the dean's office at univ of florida on 7/8 so the schools on your list must get notified once you submit ("The University of Florida College of Medicine has received your preliminary, unverified AMCAS application for the class entering Fall 2005...") they wanted me to verify that i was not a florida resident (are therefore not likely to get in)

I'm guessing that the schools may download the AMCAS in batches...the people who have already gotten secondary emails were probably in the first or second batch (I mean for the screened secondaries; non-screened could come in any time because your contact info is immediately available to the schools even before your AMCAS has been processed.) So, if they download once a week or something, maybe you'll be getting emails next week... :luck: 👍

Ummm... AMCAS calculated my BCPM gpa to be .1 lower than I calculated. It's kind of a big difference because it was kind of borderline anyway, but they "verified" the grades without making any changes. My overall stayed the same. Did they not count the indepedent research as science classes? What gives? Anybody else have this problem?

Yeah, they didn't count my one incomplete against me. Like a good boy, I included it even though it wasn't on my transcript and it didn't even count against me 🙂

dont worry tx, the weekend just passed...im sure ya'll be processed soon. dont freak out...i submitted in june, had my transcripts there, and it still took more than a week
 
The reason its probably taking some of yours longer to process is because they have to change some things based on your transcript. That happened to me, even though I thought I entered everything properly...for example, I entered a few classes as "other" but then they changed them to something else. So anyways, mine also took a little longer than some other people's due to that!

No particular reason... just trying to figure out why yours processed so quickly!

I only submitted one transcript (although it's for both my undergrad and grad degrees) and they were in for 3 weeks before I submitted my AMCAS. I'm guessing the problem is probably because my school has a weird unit system (a typical 4-credit hour class is 12 units, and AMCAS and my premed office specifically said to use my school's unit system instead of the typical AMCAS system).

Now just for the MCAT in August...time to study some more 🙂
 
It was submitted at 9:44:33 am and verified at 14:41:47pm. So that was 4 hours 57 minutes and 14 seconds. Hellasweet.
