I'm pretty upset with AMCAS. This is my second time applying, and they've put me on hold.
My first undergrad gave me 1.3 credits for a seminary course I took in highschool. This shows up as transfer credit. So now, I need to come up with an official transcript for a religious course from an institution that isn't a real school - and no one is in their office or will be for the summer...
This is absolutely incredible, this is the same transcript that was approved without problem last year. No telling how long I'll have to be on hold untill this is straightened out.

Sorry to hear that ingamina. 🙁 It might be because of the huge changes in the online AMCAS app from last year to this year. Things weren't as specific last year I think, so it may have been easier to let things like that slide. But that's ridiculous, shouldn't it be like AP credit or something? 😕

I sent in my transcripts in early May, so they've been there for months, thankfully. I was verified/processed on July 5.

Oh My God, I got a hold of someone at this non-school, and they're going to put together an official notarized/stamped letter to Amcas. Not that the people at Amcas were any help, they wouldn't listen to me at all... They would have left me on hold for 2 months over 1 credit hour from a seminary course. I can't begin to express the relief.. I love the rollercoaster ride of the application process!

What the hell does AMCAS correct? I got an X next to all my Economics classes. I am looking over it, and they verified the same grade I entered. I took one class twice, but I clicked "Repeat" for it, when I entered it the second time. Everything else seems correct. I just don't want it to make me look like I can't enter crap correctly, when I did.

If they change anything on mine, I'm guessing it will be the classification. I took a medical ethics class & wasn't sure how to classify it... same with a couple of others.

Maybe you were only supposed to mark "repeat" for the first time you took the class? 😕

This thing is ridiculously random- I had three corrections on mine too (screwed up AP courses 😉 ).

Well, for me they insisted on counting my first quarter of postbaccalaureate classes as "graduate" instead of "undergraduate" because my school is stupid. My first quarter I was officially known as a "postbaccalaureate unclassified" but my official transcript lists those classes under "graduate record." So basically, unless you officially declare an undergraduate major (as I later did), all classes taken would be considered graduate. So on AMCAS I listed 3 classes as postbac and they changed them to graduate, lowering my cumulative undergradute GPA by 0.01 points... not enough to argue over... but still stupid.

3 different school entries: 1 undergrad fro my first school, 1 grad and 1 post bacc fboth from the same school, so 2 different transcripts.
I had a correction on one of my 2 grad classes and for the life of me have no idea what the change was. I think I saved a copy of my original application .pdf file at home, so maybe I can compare the two over the weekend.

I can't believe that I'm verified. I really didn't expect it today! I have some butterflies in my stomach as I think both about the process moving along and all of the secondaries that I'm going to have to do!!! 😱 🙂

I've tried to be cool with this thing, but now that people who submitted a week after me are verified and I haven't moved, I'm starting to get a little frustrated. I could deal with +/- a day, but a week? It's not like I've got 6 transcripts...just two. I think it will be worse if it's not done by the end of today and I have to sit on it over another weekend.

I have this mental image of AMCAS set up like a big supermarket where they keep throwing people into different lines & where unfortunately some of the cashiers/customers are reeeaaalllyyy ssllloooooooooww.

While I have nothing to do with it, I actually feel a little guilty to be processed before you folks - and I'm really glad that flopotomist finally made it in before me!

P.S. The initial excitement of being verified fades quickly as you try to figure out how/when you're going to write all those secondaries!
