AMCAS GPA calculation?

Do they give more weight to classes you've taken later on? Like do your junior year grades receive a greater weight than sophomore year grades? I used this GPA calculator, honors.usf.edu/Documents/AMCASGPA_Calculator.xls‎ and it lead me to believe that classes taken later on receive more weight, the "AMCAS" weight.

Not in AMCAS. There was one school that I don't recall that does place emphasis on your later years. That is very school-specific though, and I don't know of any other schools off-hand that do that.
