OK, according to aamc, the AMCAS GPA might be different from the GPA calculated on your transcripts !
How would it be different? I don't understand. Is it going to be lower, higher, or what?
Thanks

If there's a difference between the number value your school gives to an A, B, C, etc. and the number AMCAS gives to the same letter, then there will be a difference in GPA. For example, AMCAS says a B+ is a 3.33 but your school might have said a B+ is a 3.5. In cases like that, your AMCAS GPA is going to be lower than the GPA your school has recorded.

Bummer, huh?

AAMC includes the grade for every iteration of a course. So if you take a course and receive a 'C' grade and then retake it for an 'A'. Your school's calculation of your GPA may only include the most recent grade for the course, while AAMCAS will include both in the calculation.

Yep, that too.

This has been cycled numerous times. Its a spreadsheet that fairly accurately determines your AMCAS GPA. I have a few examples in there for you to go off of. (I almost left my grades in it, haha)
