AMCAS volunteering gaps

Hey guys just had a quick question. If i volunteered at a place, stopped for a year, and then continued again, how would I say that in the "work/activities" section of AMCAS?

Date you started to the date you finished in the box. But in the description just note that you stopped for a year.
