Is anyone here who is/was an undergrad at UCSD and needed to fulfill an anatomy/physiology requirement for a pharmacy school? I am in such a dilemma right now because UCSD doesn't offer any anatomy courses, which means I have to find the course elsewhere.

If anyone has had this experience before and would like to share their thoughts, that would be greatly appreciated!

You can find course equivalencies here. Hope this helps.

I'm currently a UCSD undergrad. I was under the impression that you could just take Physiology, no? The course is BIPN 100 (Mammalian Physiology).

Correct me if I am wrong, I will also like to know!

Well, some schools require 1 semester of physiology and 1 semester of anatomy (both with labs). If we just take BIPN 100, that's only one class, and it's not even a lab.

Take Western U's prereq list, for instance:

Under the physiology requirement alone, it seems that we have to take BIPN 100, 102, AND 105. And then there's the alternate BIPN 151 (which doesn't seem to exist in the catalog).

Under the anatomy requirement though, it says there's no equivalent, which means we probably have to take additional classes elsewhere.

Oh I see. Yeah, I talked to a counselor for the anatomy requirement. If you're applying to a school that requires anatomy you would have to take it at Mesa, Miramar, Palomar, etc.

Who did you talk to? One of UCSD's counselors or the pharm school's?
