All part of the plan.
Make sure people can't get higher educations because things are too expensive --> make everyone dumber --> easier to control --> reliant on our billionaire overlord ruling class to give us our small rations of ultra processed foods + have subscriptions for everything --> billionaires get more control
As idiots likes to say -- "I love the uneducated."

He did not establish the Federal Reserve’s framework. He did not create an economy in which every financial downturn is met with demands for intervention. He did not spend decades encouraging policies that inflated asset values across the board. He simply rode the wave.”All part of the plan.

You think it's a Federal Reserve problem? Lol okay. This country is $40 Trillion in Debt, congress wont stop spending, and you think it's 100% on The Fed? Yikes, what are they teaching out there in Indiana.“The truth is that Elon Musk is not the architect of this system. He is one of its most successful participants. There has never been more wealth inequality in the history of the US. A trillionaire exists while people can barely survive. We do not live in a purely capitalistic society, and that's the problem.
Again, they don't want people to be educated. They want a subscription service society full of idiots that will work like slaves and give them their few bucks here and there just to survive. All while billionaires and trillionaires live it up and gather more control.
It’s the Federal Reserve that enabled the country to go $40 trillion into debt. It’s the Federal Reserve that drives the wealth inequality through the Cantillon Effect. It’s not by accident, it’s by design. You really need to read “The Creature from Jekyll Island.”You think it's a Federal Reserve problem? Lol okay. So glad you brought this up. Just recently watched. It’s the Federal Reserve that enabled the country to go $40 trillion into debt. It’s the Federal Reserve that drives the wealth inequality. It’s not by accident, it’s by design. You really need to read “The Creature from Jekyll Island.”

The Fed has been around for 110+ years and in 1975 the total national debt was $1 Trillion. So according to you, for 50 years the Fed "caused" the debt to go into only $1 trillion in debt, yet for the past 5 they have "caused" $39 Trillion more. Why do you think that happened? Clearly most of it was overspending by presidents/congress in that time. The Fed can't do anything when Congress passes the BBB and immediately gets us into $9 TRILLION more in debt since Biden. It’s the Federal Reserve that enabled the country to go $40 trillion into debt. Stop drinking the cool aid bud. The Fed is PART of the problem, but it goes much deeper than that. Starts with the the top, trickles down to Congress, and then from there.

hahahahah. So Hoosier follows this whackjob right-wing conspiracy theorist who believes the Fed is the problem but refuses to acknowledge the orange elephant in the room.
BTW, looked up Ed Griffin. The guy believes cancer is a nutritional deficiency curable by eating amygdalin, doesn't believe in HIV/AIDS, and believes Noah's Ark is in Turkey. Yeah, I'm good not following the teachings from that guy Hoosier! 😂😂😂😂😂
The dollar has lost nearly 99% of its purchasing power since the Fed was created in 1913. Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos didn’t create the rigged system, but they know how to benefit from it. For that you can thank the central bankers and the politicians who are dependent on the monetary manipulation by the central bankers. The Fed has been around for 110+ years and in 1975 the total national debt was $1 Trillion. Government is the problem, and I can assure you more government is not the answer.

This is such a weird take. Are you insinuating that the government started twiddling their mustaches and decided to cut off the unlimited supply of student loans as a secret plot to control the populace by not making them get college degrees (your degree does not suddenly raise your IQ btw)? I don't think attending dental school made me any smarter. In fact, being beholden to the government for loan payments is the ultimate control. Limiting supply of federal loans is exactly what we needed. I mean, the current system with IBR literally has you a slave to the government for loan forgiveness. My criticism of the BBB is they should've lowered the cap of federal loans even more (they had it at 150k but it got revised to 200k in revisions). All part of the plan.

This reminds me of when I met some crazy right wingers who said the government was putting fluoride in the water supply to lower the population's IQ to make them more docile to the government's control. It's really silly stuff.
You have to use Occam's razor. The more likely explanation is as dumb as the government is, they did realize that the entire student loan system was a clown show where unlimited student loans with government loan forgiveness just meant the tax payers were footing the bill so they added it to the BBB. Yes, there are a lot more areas where spending could be cut more efficiently, but this is at least doing something positive.
Even though the "orange elephant" in the room is the one who passed the bill, I think we can all stop and applaud at someone finally attempting to fix this higher education clown show.
Also, we need less people going to college, not more. "In 100 years, we have gone from teaching Latin and Greek in high school to teaching remedial English in college". Our education system has become a watered down joke. The best thing we are seeing now is a collapse of higher education. Expensive colleges are struggling to fill seats and cutting entire departments as students realize the costs don't justify the degrees.

Curious what everyone thinks. If the BBB ends up impacting enrollment, how do you think that changes waitlist movement over the next 1–2 months? Don’t most schools still have deadlines where accepted students have to commit, or could this delay movement? I’m currently sitting on a WL and just trying to understand what to expect.

It sounds like people aren't having issues getting loans this cycle. The scam will probably continue until the first class graduates. I hope I'm wrong and these schools feel the pressure sooner.Curious what everyone thinks. I don't know if BBB impacts enrollment this soon, but I would want to know if it affects retention and the final number who graduate in 4-5 years. Of course, no one has a crystal ball.

Anecdotally, we are seeing this affect veterinary students. Several schools have not touched their in-state wait lists for the first time (as reported by students calling in to see where they land on the wait list). This indicates that fewer veterinary students are willing to go out of state with the BBB rules. Seeing as out of state tuition can top 400k+ with a 100-120k starting salary for a new grad, not shocking.

The best thing that could happen for dental, vet, and pharmacy schools are mass closures. Let's hope that's the end result of the this bill.Anecdotally, we are seeing this affect veterinary students. I honestly don't disagree. Veterinary medicine is essentially a luxury service industry because the clients pay up front for their shenanigans 95%+ of the time. There's only so much money to go around.
Me right now…The best thing that could happen for dental, vet, and pharmacy schools are mass closures. Let's hope that's the end result of the this bill.

last 3 lines on that ADA “guide”, am I reading this correctly? Only will continue for 3 of the 4 years if you enroll this cycle? That’s going to end up poorly

If you've received federal loans prior to June 30th of this year, you are grandfathered into federal loans for the subsequent 3 years. Many are alleging schools have upped their start dates to prior to June 30th to grandfather the first years in, but it's about when the loans are dispersed, not when classes start.last 3 lines on that ADA “guide”, am I reading this correctly? Single best thing to happen to this profession in the last 20 years.I’m surprised something like this actually passed congress. We’re going to see students hurt on the front end, but long term for the profession I see nothing but positives.
So I can put it in this thread.

Federal Court Delivers Major Victory for PA Students, Patients, and the Future Healthcare Workforce
Today, a federal court blocked the Department of Education's rule affecting federal student loan limits for physician assistant students while the case proceeds, granting preliminary relief to AAPA and PAEA in their legal challenge.

This likely has no implication for dentistry. PA's weren't counted as professional degrees so their loan limit was not 50k a year as it is for dentistry, theirs was much lower. DDS/DMDs were already counted as professional degrees, so I don't see how this could possibly impact our field. So I can put it in this thread.

Can't fight back against the president when you're a congress person, apparently
I’m not sure what you mean. Regardless, it’s the PACs that tell people how to vote so it doesn’t matter about what president is in power anywayCan't fight back against the president when you're a congress person, apparently
