Should I be reading the textbook, there is alot of info and its really detail oriented. I read before and after class but I can't remember any of the stuff after reading it. The professor said material in the textbook is fairgame so I don't want to be screwed only studyin the lecture notes. Is it a waste of time outlining the chapters?

Calm down young gunner.

If the professor said its "fair game" then you are SOL. Either read the book(s) or your never going to get in HSM. 😱

Your choice, and why are you worrying about this at 2:30 and 4:30 in the morning. You should have been either out with friends or passed out.👎

read the book and focus on understanding the concepts and not memorizing the text book and pay special attention to topics that your professor mentions in class...also ask your professor for a practice test that way you can gauge how detailed your study needs to be...

Find someone that has already taken the class with the professor and see if he even uses the book. A lot of teachers i've had have said the book is fair game but end up only using their notes.
