Another bug or you could call it incompetency with a capital I

I know someone who called AMCAS this morning and talked to one of the specialists. During the conversation, which was rather heated, she revealed that there was a bug in the database. This bug apparently verifies applications in the reversed order in which they were submitted; it backward verifies!!! So, for all the people who submitted their applications late, they are the ones that get verified first. The ones that submitted their applications at the start are suffering from this "disease." Their applications are considered old, but not verified (unless you call and make hell). It also appears that AMCAS has squashed this bug a few days back or so and the disease is "supposed" to be gone. That's my latest information regarding this whole mess.

hm. Well, I've started verification, but haven't finished. Nothing but red X's. I wonder if they'll continue with mine. I submitted 9/17.

Submitted 8/19, recieved red x's 9/28. Verified on 10/10. So none, verification can take 2 weeks or more. Also even though they may have fixed the sorting bug, late apps like mine that started verification before they fixed the situation are still finishing verification. I can't believe that some people who submitted after me,like in Spetember, are verified, and that I even got verified as an August submitter. It really isn't fair and I do feel the pain of those who are still waiting.

I submitted 7/8, started verification process last week, and got an email this morning that my application was verfied (don't know what that "really" means though). How long does it take before they send them out? I heard they do it in batches. Oh and by the way, I am getting the feeling that there are a whole bunch of applications waiting to be verfied, and in order for someone to pull the application and transcripts, you really need to call them, especially if you submitted before August. Otherwise, I think they are just trying to stay on top of all the new applications that are coming in and pulling the old ones when they can.
