Another Mock Interview Question (#3)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
In my opinion, building good patient-relations is the #1 to generate business/money.

Good patient relations and customer service, discounts, delivery, and possibly advertisement.

Has anyone ever actually been asked this question? I think I would be mortified if I was asked this in my interview. That just seems extremely backwards to be asked that when we are going into the field of helping people.

Does anyone know if pharmacists take the Hippocratic Oath when they graduate?

Chris
pharmacists have their own oath

At this time, I vow to devote my professional life to the service of all humankind through the profession of pharmacy.

I will consider the welfare of humanity and relief of human suffering my primary concerns.

I will apply my knowledge, experience, and skills to the best of my ability to assure optimal drug therapy outcomes for the patients I serve.

I will keep abreast of developments and maintain professional competency in my profession of pharmacy.

I will maintain the highest principles of moral, ethical, and legal conduct.

I will embrace and advocate change in the profession of pharmacy that improves patient care.

I take these vows voluntarily with the full realization of the responsibility with which I am entrusted by the public.

There. That pretty much says exactly why I am interested in the field of pharmacy.

Thanks for posting that.

If you were the manager of the pharmacy, what would you do to generate more money for the pharmacy?

A good way to increase business is to see what people want, and no other pharmacy offers. Offering to deliver drugs is a good way. Also, you can have a “Health Fair”, where you can offer to check the customer’s blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol. Basically anything to draw them in – and if they like what you have to offer then they will keep coming back to you for their prescriptions.

Like it our not, without money coming in from somewhere you aren't going to be able to help too many people.
