Do not give up. I am still waiting for my letter. I think we might be put on the waiting list. If that is the case, they really should inform us where we are on that list.

BTW Waitlist emails i think were sent out yesterday, 2 of my friends got them.

no, my g/f looked into it b/c shes from austin. THe only way you can get a transfer is some like of special circumstance or something, along the lines of katrina

I got an email from Dr. Wilcox on Thursday and I'm now on the waitlist. He did't inform me my rank on the list b/c Dr. Leslie is on vaction. He says he'll email me every two weeks to notify my status.

Looks like I will probably actually have to turn down Texas because I can only get 10,500 A YEAR in loans. There is no way I will qualify for 25,000 more in private loans. I am so devastated right now. I am not sure what I'll do now.

Hey everybody who were accepted to Austin, I just sent my final transcripts on June 1st. I emailed Spencer to ask her whether she had a look at it. She said, the Main admissions is still updating the information, so I need to wait. Now, my question is, has the final admission list been confirmed or still they can deny an admission, after giving it. Not that there is a significant drop in my Gpa, but I did make a couple of B's in the Spring 2006. I need to email texas tech to let them know that I wont be going there. Please advise..

on your acceptance, was there a paragraph that said you had to maintain your current gpa? on mine, it just said that i needed to successfully complete my pre-req courses and according to greg in the admissions office, he said that meant a C.

so i don't think they can take back an acceptance unless it was noted on your acceptance that you had to continue to meet certain requirements and you did not meet them.

Do any of you all know when they usually send out the financial aid award letters? One person at financial aid estimated i would only qualify for 10K and another said I could get more. I really want to go to UT but the less private loans I have to take, the better I would feel.

I don't know if this helps but I got an email saying that UT would be done evaluating my application from 10 business days after they received my info which is June 16th for me. I filled out my fafsa very late. 🙁 O well. Good luck! 🙂
