I interviewed at Cinci back in October and really really liked it as well. Definitely very laid back and the students are really nice.
I'd also like to hear from and visit OSU too, since it too has a great reputation. Is it getting too late to be notified and interviewed at Ohio State? I called the other day and they told me that there was basically nothing I could do to strengthen my position in their pile of apps. They only require two letters of rec and because of our system at Duke I have six, so I can't send any more recs.
Also, does anyone know about the number of out-of-staters accepted at OSU? I was told at an interview at MCO that Ohio schools have a tough time filling seats with Ohio residents. If this is the case, why then does it appear that I'm going to go two years in a row (I'm a reapplicant) without even an interview at Ohio State, one of Ohio's major instate, public instituions, funded by Ohio taxpayers, like myself. This is also in light of being told that there are many students in the entering class like myself, similar stats. I understand states like California have too many applicants for spots, but I don't buy the fact that Ohio has a shortage of qualified Ohio applicants who pay money to fund those institutions through taxes.
