If any schools stand out as schools that I should not apply to let me know

I'm from Midwest and I will be applying as early as possible while striving for a good application. I will have great LoR, shadowed 100 hours and served the community 200 hours.
Biochem TA, Eagle Scout, Big Brother Big Sisters

I have a 3.4 Science GPA and 3.6 Total GPA.

My DAT was:

QR - 15 - 48.9 Percentile
RC - 19 - 67.6 Percentile
Bio - 17 - 55.7 Percentile
GC - 19 - 79.9 Percentile
OC - 21 - 89.7 Percentile

Total Science - 19 - 82.8 Percentile
PAT - 21 - 89.2 Percentile
AA - 18 - 72.5 Percentile

Is my QR going to kill me?

The colleges I want to apply to are.

Creighton
UNMC
Marquette
Minnesota
Arizona
Midwestern (Arizona)
Boston
Indiana
Louisville
Temple
Tufts
NYU
Oregon

Thanks SDN!

When did you take DAT? Have you thought about retaking it to boost your scores and thereby increasing your chances? AA 18 is not bad but at the same time it's not great either... Just my 2 cents.

You need to retake that DAT, an 18AA is below the average of most matriculated students and a 15 in QR isn't too hot either. Aim for a 20AA or above and you'll be set. You have an awesome GPA but the DAT will probably keep you from getting into a lot of schools.

I just took it yesterday. It won't be a waste applying will it?

yes, i think you should retake the DAT. your scores are somewhat average.

The 15 QR doesn't trouble me, but the 18 AA is simply average, possibly below average in these times.

I would apply to more schools if you plan on using that DAT score.

I would apply ASAP the sooner the better for you, add about 6-8 more schools (refer to the spreadsheet posted by Omnipodent), and hope for some luck. Unless you feel like you can get a 20 AA don't take it this year. If you were to retake it three months from now which is the soonest you can that would be an option, but only if you can commit your life to it. Otherwise apply now and then wait and see. Here on SDN everyone says 20 AA is a must. Of course it is more of a cushion, but people get accepted every year with 17,18,19,20 etc. Keep your head up and pick your schools wisely.

I just submitted my application. I'm hoping my experience speaks highly of me.
