Someone I know currently in chiropractics sent this to me to see if I was interested: http://www.life.edu/Leadership_Weekend I personally have no interest in being a chiropractor, and this seems like mostly a tour for the school, but for someone not planning on being a chiropractor (maybe leaning towards dentistry actually) is there any point in going to this? I.e. would it look good to on my applications to medical/dental school for any reason?

Thanks

Is it free? I couldn't tell from the website.

I believe they set you up with a hotel for 2 nights and include meals. The guy mentioned to me on the phone he thinks they give you another 300 for travel/etc. expenses but I'm not entirely sure

"Life University" 😀 What a funny name.

I think it's a waste of time. I'm going to assume medical schools don't care much for "chiropractic medicine." Several of the doctors I shadowed said it was a pseudoscience and believed in physical therapy, or orthopedics.

I'd totally go if they pay for it. Free food is hard to come by.

This is why you go.

Well, I think the only reason to talk about it would be to show that you put a lot of thought into becoming a doctor vs other health fields such as a chiropractor.
But you already stated you didn't want to become one so.....
This is why you tell AdComs you went.

Also, it's in Marrietta Georgia. I was just there a few weeks ago, they have one of the places from Diners, Drive-ins and Dives there. Great food!
