You mean to start in 3 days? No luck finding anything so far, or did you just find out you needed a position?

Nope...to start when Internhip starts in June. If anyone one knows of a position that became vacant because someone did not honour their contract for whatever reason.
Just found out about posting on this site.
Thanks

MOST places , start in JULY!!!!!!!!! not june 1st.

Yes, but don't most start orientation and pre-cert for ACLS, PALS, etc., very soon? Like in the next week or two?

I dunno, that was just my impression. Either way, good luck to the poster! I hope I'm not in this position next year, but it's always possible, isn't it? 🙁

what is the difference between a designated vs regular prelim?

A designated Prelim spot is one that is meant for those going into other specialties...ie, we designate so many Prelim spots for ENT, Ortho, Neurosurg, Urology etc residents (which are PGY2 matches); non-designated Prelim spots are made for those who do not have a spot for the following year.

thank you very much for the difference.

how do you know if a program offers xyz designated vs xyz non-designated prelim spots? i checked freida and they do not show this.

also how does a TY year compare to these?
