Other OT-Related Information Any regrets

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
That I didn't decide to go into OT from the start? 🙂 In all seriousness, I have no regrets about not becoming an OT until later because the experiences I had prior to this are what make me a good OT!

Anyone read the thread on indeed talking about OT lol.

I thought this was funny:

"Choose NP and just go for it. It's like you are a doctor anyway."

I started undergrad in nursing and after the first year, realized it wasn't for me. Decided to pursue OT immediately, but also decided to stay at the same school that didn't offer it. Thought it would be easy to get into a program and wound up getting in this year after applying twice.

So I guess the regret comes down to not transferring to a school that had the 3+2 program. A friend of mine did that and while she is finishing her degree this summer, I will only be starting mine.

I'm kind of wishing I finished my apps earlier and taken the GRE to increase my options. I got into my top choice, but it's quite expensive and I fear getting a president/legislature that won't protect income based repayment and student loan forgiveness... It's been something at the back of my mind lately. 🙁

Eh not really.

Every so often I get the you went into OT for the money/job security.

Men seem to be treated differently in OT and the comments are annoying sometimes.

@Bokonomy where are you accepted?
Thomas Jefferson University! They're doing a lot of great research and the faculty I met seemed great, but even though I did cc and transferred to a 4 year, I'm still looking at crazy debt after this, but it'll be worth it.
