some poster on a miami thread said he got in on tuesday but it seems to me that he is instate.....i called yesterday and the lady said check back on monday...so i dont know whats goin on...im oos and no emails or calls yet...

I'm also on the alternate list for OOS, and I don't know of anyone that has been accepted yet. I think the list has definetly started to move for in-staters. I haven't heard a peep either. 🙁

i called today, and was told ill be hearing something by the 24th. I asked if it was good or bad and she said she couldnt say. What do you think it means? She said that its been awhile since i've heard anything. I dont want to get my hopes up. Im oos as well. I would think the oos wl would move quickly too.

I just called Emory and they said they "haven't gotten to the wait list yet". I guess not enough people have withdrawn yet.

I know some schools do, but I don't know if Miami does. I don't know what else they would do by a certain date ... tell you that you're still on the waitlist?

Miami lets their waitlistees linger around until school actually starts.

i was just accepted of the waitlist today for a spot at the miami campus!! i am very exited, but up until this moment i was preparing to go to penn state, now i gotta make a decision, and fast...

I interviewed in late March and was pretty much immediately waitlisted. I assumed that meant all the spots were full by then at least for OOS like me. I didn't respond to the waitlist Email which I assumed meant I withdrew? Then on May 15th I got an acceptance Email. I would love to go to UM, but just can't beat the in state Texas tuition.

What you hear is true. I'm friends with a 2nd year at the UM Boca campus who got a phone call of acceptance the day before Orientation - that would be August 2nd, by the way, since Orientation is the 3rd, typically.

Hey people - anyone hear anything yet about UM wait-list?

I know of 2 people who recently got in. One to Miami campus, the other to FAU campus.

I have yet to hear anything - ARG 🙁 More of the waiting, I suppose ...
