Any waitlist movement from the UMDNJ schools?

NOPEEEEEE...not for me personally at least. I am on both waitlist but I gave up on NJMS (I am in the middle of the list that hardly moves). A friend just got snagged of the RWJ list two weeks ago but will decline and attend another school. (at least that's what he said).
RWJ is accepting until Aug 2.

i am waitlisted for robert wood...not heard of any acceptances as of yet from the waitlist for robert wood.....but my friend who got waitlisted in nj med got accepted 2 weeks ago....hopefully we will hear soon...good luck everyone

I am still waiting for my call/email from the dean. I am very anxious and nervous as we are approaching July. I hope my turn comes up.

i am a NJ resident, asian female, applying for fall of 2003.
i applied to both schools...
and I was wondering how good the chances are of getting in.. my stats are MCAT 30, v9, p11, b10
GPA 3.6 neuroscience major from MIT....
i don't know what the average #'s are but if any of you want to share your stats with me so i can just get an idea who apply to UMDNJ schools (& are you guys all in-state?) PM me! =)

Average GPA at UMDNJ-RWJ is 3.62 and average MCAT is 30. Based on your GPA, you're average at UMDNJ-RWJ. UMDNJ-NJMS is also very close to the MCAT and a little less in GPA.
MIT's reputation may give weight to that 3.6, but is that 3.6 out of 4.0 or 5.0? I ask because MIT does their internal GPA out of 5.0, and if you're referring to 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, then it sounds alright.
Being instate will definitely bring you an interview at least I'd think.

Thanks Everyone...hopefully everyone will get in..i was only waitlisted at robert wood...i was rejected by njmed...if ur waitlisted at njmed, i really sugguest u guys talk to Dr. Heinrich....he is really nice..it might improve ur chances of getting in...good luck eveyone.

I emailed him when I first got on the NJMS waitlist and he kindly let me know my chances were very slim (being that I was in the middle of the list, and the list hardly moves). He was kind though because he replied promptly. He can also give you further info on what the weak points on your application were.
I emailed another office person who said the wait list has been moving slowly in the past week and to just hang in there. Keep ya fingers crossed.

I called RWJ earlier this week and they said that the list is moving slowly and they don't know how deep into the list they will go.
I heard though that once you are grouped into thirds, there is no further ranking. For instance, they claimed I was in top-third but then they randomly pick people off that top-third list. How come they haven't picked me yet....? I wish I knew. I have sent enough letters of interest.
