I checked my mail today and I still haven't received anything from them yet. I live in Virginia by the way. They said all of the letters were sent out on Friday notifying everyone of their status, regardless if it was an acceptance or not. They told me that everyone should receive letters by at least Friday.

I saw some people from California got letters from NYU on dec. 5 th, 6th, or 8th . So, Don't worry.

By the way, I am waiting for my letter from NYU also, and I am in Texas.

I talked to them (NYU) yesterday and they said that not everyone's status decision was made. But they said they sent me a mail on Friday (11/30), I hope it's an acceptance letter...

I just got the waitlist letter from NYU.

That is still not a rejection so I still say don't give up hope. Going by what others are posting a lot of people are passing on NYU so you might just get off the waitlist.

i'm guessing waitlisted and reject comes in a regular envelope and acceptance comes in a large 8.5x11 envelope packet. Can anyone confirm? That way, I can tell by looking at the mail tomorrow

Reeeejected from NYU today! (and yes rejections do come in regular envelopes) Oh well... I wouldn't have gone there anyway since I got into BU.

This still sucks though. I really thought I was going to get at least one acceptance in the first round. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I don't think I'm socially inept or a total douche bag. Also, I feel like I have some decent stats. I mean, they're not fantastic, but I still think they're pretty competitive. I just have to keep telling myself that it's early and there's still a good chance for me.

The dental school one gets in after college is still considered 'undergraduate' professional school. Grad schools is when one specializes.

you are right....you do have decent stats. You just need to wait and relax and you will hear something good. If I were in your position with stats like this ...i wouldnt be so unhappy. Good luck! hope you hear something good soon...

does NYU have secondary application? I dont remember filling one out but i do remember sending them money AADSAS status for NYU is blank so I am confused what is going on. NYU has never contacted me only in early june to when i applied...after that nothing!!!
