anybody still waiting on NYU letter?

Tuesday and the mailman has come and gone... still nothing. :(:(:(

I know some fellow Californians have already received their letter. Afraid I might get my head chewed off for calling :)

I checked my mail today and I still haven't received anything from them yet. I live in Virginia by the way. They said all of the letters were sent out on Friday notifying everyone of their status, regardless if it was an acceptance or not. They told me that everyone should receive letters by at least Friday.

I saw some people from California got letters from NYU on dec. 5 th, 6th, or 8th . So, Don't worry.

By the way, I am waiting for my letter from NYU also:), and I am in Texas.

Nothing on Tuesday, maybe today I'll get something.

And I live less than four miles from the school...
 
I live in Vancouver and still wating..:( Hopefully we get something today.
 
I got mine today (rejection) yay!
 
Ah crap, I guess the rejections and waitlistings come later... mailman is coming any minute now. This sucks...

Hey I'm in the OC, CA and got mine on Monday. Got accepted and hopefully will hear from other schools before I have to make my decision. Good luck to everyone!
 
I talked to them (NYU) yesterday and they said that not everyone's status decision was made. But they said they sent me a mail on Friday (11/30), I hope it's an acceptance letter...:)
 
Damn... waitlisted :( This really sucks!

That is still not a rejection so I still say don't give up hope. Going by what others are posting a lot of people are passing on NYU so you might just get off the waitlist.
 
i'm guessing waitlisted and reject comes in a regular envelope and acceptance comes in a large 8.5x11 envelope packet. Can anyone confirm? ;) That way, I can tell by looking at the mail tomorrow :)
 
Reeeejected from NYU today! (and yes rejections do come in regular envelopes) Oh well... I wouldn't have gone there anyway since I got into BU.

Just yet another in the long list of reasons why the Red Sox are better than the Yankees!:laugh:

is this for undergraduate or graduate admissions?? i called nyu today and they said that they didnt send out any letters? and i thought they had only yes and no no waitlisting... can someone explain this to me

This still sucks though. I really thought I was going to get at least one acceptance in the first round. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I don't think I'm socially inept or a total douche bag. Also, I feel like I have some decent stats. I mean, they're not fantastic, but I still think they're pretty competitive. I just have to keep telling myself that it's early and there's still a good chance for me.

You're new here. This is for admission to the dental program.
 
I'm sitting at work, can't wait to check the mail when I get home. Hopefully it will be good news, I've been rejected from 4/14 schools I've applied to.

The dental school one gets in after college is still considered 'undergraduate' professional school. Grad schools is when one specializes.

are you applying for dental specialty or NYU undergrad (seeking bachelor's degree)
 
finally got my acceptance.
It was lost in the mail and I really got worried.
so i went to pick it up personally; i couldnt wait another day.

you are right....you do have decent stats. You just need to wait and relax and you will hear something good. If I were in your position with stats like this ...i wouldnt be so unhappy. Good luck! hope you hear something good soon...

do you know if they sent out letters for interviews at all? or is just accept/rejection letters>?:thumbup:
 
Im still waiting for the NYU mail!! I live in Colorado and still havent recieved it yet. (interviewed mid NOV) Do u know if its sent via USPS? Any Coloradan with the acceptance letter?
 
I finally received my letter in the mail today (I live in FL). Waitlisted... Does anyone know how NYU's waitlist works? Is it ranked or do they not disclose information?
 
does NYU have secondary application? I dont remember filling one out but i do remember sending them money :rolleyes: AADSAS status for NYU is blank so I am confused what is going on. NYU has never contacted me only in early june to when i applied...after that nothing!!!
