Anyone been using BR orgo just for passages, but another orgo book for content?

How have you been matching the passages to the content of the different orgo book? I am using TPR orgo and I feel like if I try to do BR passages, I will not have read all the information that is tested in them, and then do badly.

What has everyone else been doing to match the passages?

I am following SN2ed 4 month plan by the way.

Seeing as you have the TBR book, I would just follow it. It is actually a very good book despite going into so much detail.

Well the last time I studied for the MCAT, I read through the BR orgo book. It was not bad at first, but then, it was like torture. I found myself reading as fast as I could, or my mind would wonder, just to get through the torture. (That nitrogen compound chapter...jeez)

So this time I thought I would read through TPR, which is also supposed to be pretty good, but then just use BR passages, because that definitely is good.

You can pair the sections up in both books to get the passages to sort of correspond. I did this with the bio passages and it sort of worked. Remember though that you don't have to necessarily do the passages that correspond to what you just reviewed. None of this information should be new to you and your goal should be to learn from the passages just as much as from the reading. If you do badly then just take that opportunity to review the topics behind those questions. Your scores on the passages don't matter save the worrying about scores for when you get to the practice tests.

I would recommend using a book to supplement your review book reading. Sometimes the review books don't cover as much of the basics that you might need to fully understand the question/problem. Use the textbook for situations where you don't understand the review book summary.
