Was wondering if anyone else here will be interviewing at Emory on Monday. Its my number one school and Im kinda starting to get nervous about it. If anyone here went to the interview yesterday and has any tips they would be greatly appreciated!

I wish! I still haven't heard back from them. Hoping since the deadline was yesterday I should hear something soon.

I interviewed with them last year, and everything is really relaxed (at least I'm assuming its still the same). The interviews are small groups and everyone gets the chance to answer a question first. I think we were asked 5-7 questions and the interview was conducted by 2 faculty members. It really is a small portion of the entire day. The rest of the day is spent hearing about the program from Dr. Kapasi, having a campus tour (absolutely beautiful! awesome facilities!) and meeting current students.

Thanks for the info, I talked with one of my friends who interviewed there yesterday and he said it was pretty laid back but it takes the entire day and there is a ton of time where you are just sitting around waiting.

Definitely true. Last year I was in the second to last interview group of the morning, so I sat and waited until 11:30 or so. However it's a good time to get to know the other applicants. We all had a good time chatting with one another.

May I ask when you had all of your materials submitted to Emory? I had mine in around January 15th so I'm just wondering how long it took them to contact you?

Good luck!

Sure! I got a confirmation of my submission on Nov 30 2012 and received my interview invitation on Jan 14

They gave me the option of interviewing this Monday or Friday and I chose Friday. Does anybody have any idea on the type of questions asked? The group interview is a little intimidating to me.

My buddy said they didnt ask anything about Vision 2020, healthcare politics, or things that are tricky. He said they were generalized questions just trying to get a good feel for your personality and what not.
