Man, If I would have known this club was here I would have joined it earlier even though it wouldn't have made me feel any better. The closest I have come to an interview is the Wisconsin your on our list to interview but chances are your at the very bottom and we don't know that we'll get to you email. That sucks!!!!

i know. we are all living in a crazy world of anxiety. i used to be a well-rounded person with a sense of humor, and have been reduced to a quivering hermit that obsessively checks email and sdn at work. i have maxed out my box of bandaids to cover up all the scars left from the daggers of jealousy that stab me every time i read the "wall of fame" and "interview invites" threads.

oh and btw, looks like they HAVE gotten to my file (at least some schools)... got my first rejection today. ;P

I was just telling a buddy yesterday that a guy with almost the same stats as me applied to 20 or so schools and hasn't recieved an interview invite. Ohh well - there goes that arguement! GOOD JOB!

No interview yet, but I'm an August MCATer....so I'm trying not to sweat it too much (I say this as my fingernails have been bitten down to nubs from anxiety...haha!).

virluminous, most of us have been in an invite slump since labor day weekend. I'd start worrying by the end of December. Unless I can worry along with you. Then you can worry now. 🙂

very nice. i would give my ipod away for a UC Davis interview (and replace it with a 60 gig video ipod though). i just remembered that the day I got my interview my brother called me up to tell me that he didn't get his first invite til december, and that his 4 interviews were in february (2), march and april. he got accepted to 3 of the 4 straight off the bat (VCU, UC Irvine and U of Minnesota). Him telling me this put my mind at ease for the day and I didn't think about anything at all. I nonchalantly checked my mail that day and lo-and-behold, it became one of the greatest days in mota history. hang in there, and try to just let it go. once you do that, good things will come. much love.

I'd like to add myself to the list. I was blaming the lack of interviews on taking the august mcat, but now my friends who did that are starting to get interviews. so i'm just going to hope that i hear from somewhere soon

All right....first post to start off this week. Got rejection from Downstate on Saturday. I am seriously thinking about beefing up my ECs...I am gonna put 500+ posts on SDN and none of it on the lounge 😱 with a minimum of post padding. I am desperate for recognition.

Yeah it is. Man am I sad... another 100 bucks down the drain. My roommate (a stellar applicant with 10 interviews already... eek!) can still log in.... as can another friend who already has an interview. Coincidence? I think not...

Yes, that is the worst rejection I've ever heard. What a-holes. Someone should write them letter explaining a bit about courtesy. Jeez. I didn't even apply there and I am upset about it.

I'm jumping on this thread...

I'm not surprised obviously that I don't have one yet, considering I retook the MCATs in August..

And since my LOR hasn't been received yet. My health professions advisor took FOREVER in getting it sent out, and I have been getting severe agita over it. It was supposed to be sent out Friday, but I'm still sick over the fact that I'm not going to be complete until this late.... 🙁

Also my husband is beginning to worry about my constant attachment to SDN, which he thinks is bordering on "unhealthy." 😉

i got a complete notice at boston around 9/30. u have better stats than i do and i am a georgia resident, so you might get an interview still. keep your hopes up! sad because i did want to move up east. maybe tufts will still give me an interview.

These adcom members have serious decision making problems. I picture them coming out of the shower and staring at the boxers and boxer-briefs laid out in front of them on their bed and then they stare at it for hours just standing there wet and naked and 'cause they can't make up their mind. They think boxers....so much freedom but no boundaries or discipline for the boys. But boxer briefs have support and discipline that boys need. And they go on for this like hours.

Hey, Nakhrewali, I guess this damned thread owns me for one more day.

Also, anyone think a letter of interest might help? I mean if I weren't interested why the hell would I apply to your school? But someone suggested writing a letter of intent but since I've never been interviewed, it seems like a reason to give adcoms something more to laugh about regarding my application. Anyone write one of these and have they made any impact?
