😴 ...what? what? no emails, no calls? Either I am having a dream about my old 8th grade dance memories or it's just another day of no interviews... 😴
njbmd said:Hi there,
It is still fairly early for the interview season. You can still interview in March and get an acceptance letter in April. That is months away. You can interview in April and get an acceptance letter in May.
Stay positive and put that nervous energy into a Plan B (what you are going to do if you are not accepted this year). The more elaborate your Plan B, the greater your chances of acceptance.
Do not read anything into getting a later interview! It does not matter WHEN you interview as long as you get an acceptance.
njbmd 🙂
PS. I am still looking at a pile of applications (about 60)on my desk that are going to get invitations in December. It is still early. Maybe yours might be in that pile. Many of them are excellent candidates so chill.

You can start drinking in the morning, instead of milk, (since I am out of it) I used beer in my cereal. Ohh so wonderful and trhen off to class, biotransport and organic II are wonderful with a little sauce.gdbaby said:Nothing yet today and from the responses I received on my "email invite trends" thread, I can start drinking now. 👍
shoal said:On a side note, Like ray, I will not only work for an interview. I will donate an organ, or gladly be used for medical research.
😛
gdbaby said:Ahhh yes, beer in the cereal and now I am grading papers! HA foolish undergrads!
Between you and Ray, I sense a Faustian rebirth brewing. Wait did I just say brew? Better grab and oatmeal stout out of the minifridge in my office. At least it has oatmeal in it.
shoal said:me too. I'll try and compare the iraqi wars now using just war theory - Should be interesting while on the sauce!
Definitely the "while on the sauce" part. Sober, my ass.RayhanS1282 said:Wait, didn't Bush, Jr. try this already?
I'll keep checking back, if that's ok with everyone, to see how y'all are doing.Best of luck and ace the interview! 🙂annamarie said:Hey all. I'm sorry to do this, but I'm out! Got an interview today. I'm so excited and am sure that you all will be leaving this thread empty soon!I'll keep checking back, if that's ok with everyone, to see how y'all are doing.
.Congrats and best of luck on the interview! 🙂CoffeeCat said:I'm sorry also, but I'm off of the list and it's not because of numbers! ECs do count!
I feel like I found new faith in the process, I was really down on myself and everything about applying ($, time, essays, heartache) but I'm going to work my ass of to get ready for the interview and give it my best shot.
I hope you all hear good news soon.

Oh fine. These are the funniest people on all of SDN. I feel more at home here. I guess I will slither over to the no acceptances thread instead. Deductive reasoning has it that you will all be over there too. 🙂ShyRem said:gd, you had one interview!!
I don't even look anymore.ShyRem said:yeah, they're all there with us. And if they aren't, they sure should be!!!! I'm starting to hate that thread 'wall of fame'.

crzyemeni said:Keep the moral up y'all. You guys broke the 20 page marker for this thread and they last time I was here you guys where taking about baking cookies. This is def the MVP of threads on this forum.![]()
madonna said:maybe as proof of our dedication to the medical profession we can sent a print out of this thread to some adcoms. mb it will attract some attention to our files or they will just feel sorry for us and give us an interview?
RayhanS1282 said:Hi people...still here and it's all quiet on the interviews front for me. I keep getting this vomit-inducing feeling that I am gonna be back here next year. I don't think even waiting for the MCAT scores I was this worried at least not for this long.
Here's hoping that November brings about some changes.
Pepper1o1 said:Oh shoot Rayhan I saw you were the last poster on here and thought maybe something good had happened.
In the vein of some previous (superstitious) posts - here were the things I did on the day I got my interview:
1) Went to the doctor (ha!)
2) Found out my foot was infected (sweet!)
3) Hobbled home
4) Looked at my inbox and saw the "application complete at UVA" e-mail first
5) Opened UVA e-mail, got distracted
6) Came back to inbox later and was like SH** SH** SH**!!!
Moral of the story - go to the doctor, make a huge donkey out of yourself, then you will get an interview.
Just trying to superimpose a little method on the madness,

That's a great story.HA! that's funny. I know you have kicked me off of this thread for my one lone interview, but you can have this thread when you pry it from my cold dead hands!RayhanS1282 said:That's a great story.
Sorry, no good news. But you have inspired me to go visit my uncontrollably fertile backyard barefoot.
hoberto said:Okay, found out my advisor sent out 6 LORs today. He LIED to me and said he sent them out in July. ASSHOEL.
