It only seems that way because the people who have invites already are excited and are posting about them. Lots of other people haven't been invited yet either, but most of them are not rushing to post that news. Hopefully you will get your first invite soon, but try not to worry; interviews will go on for the next six months. to you and everyone else who is hanging out in this thread.

Lets enjoy the fact that they didn't say no... just for a little while. this way when we get an interview we're that much happier 😎 .

i have a 3.94 GPA from an ivy league school, 38 on the MCATs, plenty of teaching experience and even a few years in the army. I am sure my letters of rec are good also.

I submitted my apps in august and have yet to receive an interview.

like someone said, there are many of us without invitations, we just arent posting.

just breath and relax. think of positive things. 50 percent of applicants get in somewhere.

Zzman, you're totally right. I applied to Harvard too and I think of it sort of as a lottery ticket - you have to pay some money but what you're buying is the dream, not the actual prize. Live thre dream while you can...UCSF... rool:

😳 I know as well as anyone how hard it is to be patient, especially when it seems like everyone else on this whole forum is getting invited to a zillion schools (some people were even posting at the beginning of this month about having 11 or 12 interviews already!), and you are still waiting to get your first. But there are still lots of interviews left; invites keep going out every single week over a period of several months. After all, the schools can't logistically have every single one of their applicants interview on the same day or even in the same month, right? Somebody has to be the applicant who interviews later in the season! I agree with the posters who were saying that until you actually receive a rejection, you still have a chance. People go to interviews all the way through March, and so no news in September isn't necessarily bad news. If you're complete, and you haven't heard anything yet, then those schools are still considering you, and you still could get an interview. Keep reminding yourself of that whenever you feel kind of down about waiting. 🙂

Those are impressive stats. Can you think of any reasons why you were not accepted? ie bad interviews, poor ec's, didn't apply to many schools, etc. I'm curious to hear... thanks

Me, too flopotomist. I think we should take a hiatus from SDN. It seems as if a lot of my awesome friends here (with 37, 38 MCAT scores) aren't getting interviews, but they are happy and dandy. Things will come, it's a test of patience, really.
(Of course I tell myself that, and am on SDN within like a few hours..)

You'll be ok. It is so early to get scared. Some schools are just beginning interviews, still. Remember that the Aug MCATers don't have a chance at interviews yet (unless there's some weird exception) and they have a chance at getting in. So you're definitely still ok.

I GOT MY FIRST INTERVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY I have been complete at most schools since Middle of August-End of August and had not heard anything (except for all the possible interview invitations blah blah blah) and then today I got my first interview to UIC 🙂 Before now I was feeling so down about not having a single interview and reading SDN made me super paranoid. But this thread kept my hopes alive, that there were others out there like me. Now, I too will have to leave this thread, but just saying good luck to all of you, and you WILL get an interview soon 🙂 THink positive

Thought about it, then realized that that would require money. I then realized I didn't have any. Oh well, applied to five schools, complete at three, haven't heard much. Thanks. Yeah I've been reading the SDN interview reviews to prepare. Those got me through the past couple days without the SDN forums, but there are only 181 reviews for George Washington, so I was quickly running out of filler. So glad the crack forums are back!

I was complete 9/1 on GW, but I submitted my secondary way back on 7/8. I had a bit of a hold up with one of my letters of rec 😳 .
