I was there a week ago, today. I've had three invites to interview in one week. I swear, they all come at once, and I'm sure that they'll come for you too.

I would like to send an SOS out and would like to assure the crew that we will all jump ship once our time is here.
(just imagine this is in Prof. X's voice).

i could be in a snickers commercial.
not going anywhere for a while?

So I still haven't heard either, and I've got 17 applications out and complete (since end of august) I just want to say that I hate Columbus Day. Every day I come home from workin' 9-5 and check my mail. It is both the highlight of my day as well as the most depressing moment (as of late, when I have gotten NO mail at all). Yesterday was the worst, I didn't even get junk mail. But then I remembered it was Columbus Day! Blast! Maybe I had mail coming but thanks to Columbus it was delayed.
So now I have my hopes up for the mail today, but will probably get disappointed. It's sad, I have these little routines that I do to wish for mail. Like, I tell myself, "oh if I don't think about it and don't check my mail right away, then that means I'll get something." Geez, I'm losing my mind.
And I just read on another thread from a reapplicant that "no news may not be good news."
Great

I am not sure what percolate means and I am at work with no dictionary 🙁 . I dont mean to put anyone down in the least or tell people to give up hope at all. BUT it is my experience that people think just because they havent gotten a nice letter in the mail , that they still have a good chance. It is my experience that this is false. Schools such as Tufts, Drexel, whoever dont reject until the spring. They let people sit rejected in their files until then and you have no idea. Does that mean everyone who hasnt heard yet should assume rejection? No not at all. I just wanted to go against the grain that no news was good news, because it isnt.
To the last poster, obviously no news is better than a rejection. anything is better than a rejection.
RayhanS1282 said:Don't worry Bobo. I guess we are just grouchy from the lack of attention from schools.
And percolate as used in the context of my post means to ooze....I am a freak.

I refuse to let hope start to fade. I feel like the woman who lived to be 124 years old - when interviewed by Barbara Walters, she was asked what her secret was that enabled her to live so long... her answer, "I think God just forgot about me."DaMota said:a lot longer. if its 2006 and you dont have any interviews then you can START to let hope fade a little. when were you complete at your schools? hang in there. its way early. this is still like the first QUARTER of interview season.

gujuDoc said:Yeah, but you are a different case then the rest of these people. You haven't gotten any interviews yet, cuz you only got your MCAT Scores back like 3 DAYS AGO!!!!!
If you got those scores in June and took the April test, you'd be sure to have interviews by now. But you'll be bombarded with them come November/December considering the rest of your app looks good. At least, that's what I foresee happening.![]()
