I'm still here. At this point, I just stopped caring...well that's not true...I care but there's nothing I can do at this point. I have consulted several practicing witches, along with occult experts, voodoo magicians, good old animal sacrifices and etc. I have tried playing subliminal messages whenever I call the schools but the person on the phone thinks they are on speaker phone and hangs up. Here's to 1.5 weeks after Drexel and hopefully better luck for us in this thread in February.

We are on schedule here and will finish interviews in early March. As promised, all interviewed applicants will have an official action from CU by the end of March.

I called AECOM today and I gotta say, as nice as the lady was being...it really lights a fire under my ass when she tells me that "you just have to be patient". Um...no offense but I've been complete since August and today is February 1st, I never received any notification from these guys and even had to confirm my completion by calling in and she tells me that I need to be patient.

i know that's what they tell me when i call too. also "you know, not everybody will be getting an interview." it's not like i blatantly asked for on over the phone (though i wish i could!)

hello all, this is my first post... just found this whole sdn thing... anyway, I just thought I would come to cheer this group up with an addition of me... only one interview invite so far (Mayo, March 13) but I did turn in all the apps at the very last minute so I am not very suprised... I think there should be more celebrating in this thread. We're an elite group. Not many can claim "one shot, one kill." Be optimistic and expect a positive verdict.

By the way, I have two pre-interview holds and everyday that I open my mailbox and there aren't rejections from those two schools, I celebrate. A pre-interview hold doesn't amount to much, granted, but I get a funny kick out of not being rejected. YEEEEEEEESSSS, I say to the empty mailbox. 😀 YES! There's still hope for one more day...

hey rup47, i actually got a rejection letter from drexel on monday. i was really surprised, because they told us to wait 6-8 weeks, and i got a decision in 3 weeks. they must have really hated me. my interviewer must have turned around, gone to the next committee meeting, and said "this girl is horrible. just reject her right now instead of wastng time." which is kinda deceiving cause she was all nice and friendly and told me i had a good file at my interview.

another interview i had yesterday was my lone hope to get into school this year. it was the most horrible interview ever and i ended up crying while waiting for the elevator afterwards. i could literally see the 2.5 years of hard work going down the drain in just 2 hours... if anybody is interested i posted the sad story in "bizarre interviews."

so, looks like i won't be going to med school this year. there is obviously something in my file or about me that the schools just don't like. i have decided to take the august mcat and get a really high score that might help me make up for whatever that is, if i am to have any hope for the next cycle.(can't go back and get an ivy bachelor's, can't change my pre-postbac gpa.) that's the only thing i can realistically do besides more volunteering & clinicals. i know there are plenty of people who are like "hey, i got in with just one interview! one-shot one-kill!!" and "it's not all about numbers! i had a 26 mcat and got 5 interviews and acceptances at XYZ school!" and i agree to some extent. schools are looking for applicants that are well-rounded and have all the qualifications. but it is still a very numbers-driven game. and if i am going to do this all over again, i don't want to be that applicant hanging in the balance at just one school. it's just too much anxiety that i can do without for a year.

I read about your interview. Don't give up hope on this school. He may have just wanted to see how you react to unexpected things. Maybe you did much better than those he previosly stressed out and he was actually impressed. As you've seen from Drexel, nice interviews don't mean anything. Hope to hear about your acceptance soon on sdn.
