Anyone ever heard of someone getting rejected/waitlisted Post-II through phone call?

I've heard of people getting II's and acceptances through phone call, but I was wondering if it ever happens with rejections or wait-lists.

I've never heard of it, but that would be absolutely savage. My follow up would be, what is an acceptable response? Do you have to be polite to the school who just ripped your heart out? Very interested to hear if this has happened

According to the presentation they gave, Cooper calls you once they’ve made a definite decision and will tell you either that you’ve been accepted or rejected. I also know that USUHS will let people know they’ve been waitlisted or alternate listed over the phone.

I was rejected through phone call when I was in high school. I was going through a tough time then, would have honestly preferred an e-mail.
