Hey guys..has anyone heard back from UQ medical school? I thought they were going give out deicisions on the last week of May...anyone??

Last year, I called Matt at OzTREKK and he gave me my answer before I got the official admission offer.

G'day everyone,

I just received word this morning from the UQ School of Medicine that letter of offer documents should be released by the University of Queensland any day now. I am hoping that the release will commence no later that the beginning of next week, June 1st.

Those that appplied via OzTREKK will receive an e-mail with the letter of offer and UQ School of Medicine documents attached. You will also be mailed all these documents including your letter of offer in hard copy, which should arrive a few days after you receive your e-mail.

When you receive your e-mail with your offer documents, you will also be able to log-in to the OzTREKK Admissions and Pre-departure Centre and download your offer as well and check the status of your application.

Once letters of offer will be released by the University of Queensland, they will not all come at once. They will take a number of days to be released, as the University will process them in batches. So once the offers start to be released, it may take a week for them all to come through, as it all depends on how many will be processed and released each day. It is more of an administrative issue rather than a selection issue as to how many come through each day.

Now that the first round of admission offers have been processed and released, would you know when UQ will start considering applications that were received later and did not make it for the first round (i.e., when their next round of evaluation will start and when the second round of offers will be sent out)? How are you all?

Yes, offers have started to come from UQ this week. We received one wave earlier on this week, Monday, and we just received another wave overnight from UQ which we are processing right now and will be e-mailing and mailing them to those that received offers, today.

I am speaking with UQ this coming week to see how many more offers will be released in this first round. So I hope to have more information next week regarding how many more are to be released.

Regarding the second wave of offers, they will more than likely be made in late July/early August, once the lapse date to accept an offer has closed for the first wave of offers, which are being made now.

My application according to the oztrekk website was submitted 23/02/2009 and I thought UQ is rolling admissions, so doesn't that mean if one of the above posters submitted his in march, mine should of been processed before his? Or did something happen with my application?
