Anyone here a student at SUNY college of optometry?

Hi, is anyone here a student at the SUNY colelge of Optometry? I will be applying for the Fall 2003 seat and I was wondering how competitive it is to get in.

I'm not a student there, but SUNY is pretty competitive, esp. since they don't take as many students per class as some other schools do.

Here's what u need to get into SUNY.

1. At least 3.3 GPA ( from a good school )
2. 330 out of 400 on OAT.
3. Experience in the optometry field.


If you have these 3, u are almost in.

4. A good interview.

I interviewed at SUNY (and was accepted, but declined), and my impression is that they put a lot of weight on how you do in the interview. They want to see that you know a lot about the profession, and can speak and handle yourself professionally.
