Thats very intersting that you're getting a couple of holds. Did apply on the later side? or were you early? Also there might be an issue of your gpa or a specific science course where you did poorly?

Yeah I was verified 8/04 and complete everywhere by mid-september and all I've heard is 3 rejections and 1 hold as well.

Got secondaries from all the UC's so I gotta be doing something good, right?

the 25 on the first MCAT might be a drag on the 2nd score, particularly if schools average (not sure how many do that though)

I was complete at those schools around 9/18. And all the Prereqs classes I rocked.

My GPA is lower cause of the D and B- of Fing High school classes....my gpa should be 3.65 on my AMCAS transcript if they didnt count those to high school classes.

I think ima send update letters to these schools cause I am a MCAT instructor for examkrackers now, doing research and doing two additional volunteer works

since you dont have a MDapp I dont know what your list is like, but maybe you applied to too many reach schools? Or if you dont mind posting your stats then things may be more clear. But keep in mind, you still have like 2 months before being in dire dire situation.

Do you know how your LORs were? There might be a letter that is doing you in perhaps?

IF there are really no big RED flags, and hat your mcat situation is the only thing holding you back, then you're definitely gonna hear something soon. Like I said, there is alot of time left, no need to panic until like december ish.

No that can't be, you have volunteered at a hospital for a year yea? That should cover your clinical volunteering. I had about the same myself. Sounds like he was BSing. Hopefully you included your situation in your primary and secondary essays too!

No that can't be, you have volunteered at a hospital for a year yea? That should cover your clinical volunteering. I had about the same myself. Sounds like he was BSing. Hopefully you included your situation in your primary and secondary essays too!

yea I dont know anymore. Right now I am loading up on volunteer work research etc just in case I have to reapply but hopefully I wont have to

Well I know you will hear something soon, and I'm rooting for both of you guys. BUT if god forbid and nothing comes make sure you check out your letters or call admissions and ask them about the letters. I have had friends who had mediocre letters hurt their choices.

only thing I can think of is the slightly below average gpa, though everything else seems to be in-line. it's only been a month since you've been complete though, so I don't think you should stress too much, as long as you have applied broadly and so forth

So far I only have one. I told myself not to expect any until at least November (mostly due to the mediocre GPA) but it hard to not get frustrated and anxious when all these people are getting acceptances.

Honestly though I thought the combination of working in surgery for 3.5 years and doing rotations in clincal labs would garner me more attention =0/

You have a really positive upward trend in GPA. I think that will definitely help you out as Adcoms look more in depth.

Currently I am also an MCAT instructor for Examkrackers (leadership), doing research on lipid biosynthesis, and doing two volunteer works so I am going to update the schools

holy crap you guys. Your ECS and stats put me to shame. Trust me, they'll come. Many of my interviews came 3 months after. If that's the case for me, they'll come in no time for you guys.

Not yet dude, you'll be fine. A lot of people with a lot of interviews now were complete a little bit earlier than that. You'll get 'em.

Dude unless you were complete back in summer...you're freaking out over nothing. Tons of people at my school got 6-10 interviews invites AFTER xmas simply because they weren't complete til October.


They still got accepted...started med school the same time as people who got in on Oct 15th...


Your apps are done...ENJOY your senior year and deal with your interviews when they come. Stressing is just pointlessly wasting your last year of fun before med school starts!!!!

I wouldn't freak out if I were you. You have great stats, and soon, the interview invites will come.

With that said, my stats are very similar to yours, and I submitted my secondaries in early September. Still waiting...
