I think I qualify for this thread. I've had six so far, but have gotten three waitlists, one deferred decision, and the other two I'm supposed to hear from any day now (but they're the most competitive).

BTW, gdbaby, I loved the British Office. Have you been watching the American one? I felt like the first season was crappy, but the second is a lot better.

Definately do not loose hope guys. I had my first interview in Oct. and don't have any more until December so I was really getting nervous. However, I got accepted three weeks after interviewing! I would have never predicted being 1/1, just remember one acceptance=MD. Keep ya head up and stay positive 🙂 .

I was feeling okay, but now that invites have picked up again, and I haven't received anymore, I'm nervous again. I think the two I've got are gonna be it, and I've already been to one. I better wow them at EVMS next week. And that is apparently not an easy feat considering their questions.

So, I am a professor at CU-Denver and up until this semester I had my old home computer in my office. This computer had my husband's dis. Anyway, I got a little promotion that came with a new computer. SO I told them they could take my old one to recyle. Bye-bye dis!

Well, I know there is the bound copy which I may have to scan into a PDF, but that really doesn't help if he wants to take pieces of it for journal articles, etc. Things aren't too tense around the house. I think my husband knows that I am on the verge of tears at any moment these days, so he is waiting for the right time to get mad. 😳

I always feel like when I call for a staus check, they put a little note in my file with the word/phrase of the day like "aggressive," "overeager," and "not a chance in hell". So I am wondering if any of you have done status checks at the following schools and could comment on the demeanor of the admissions rep.

So far I have heard nothing from my 4 safety schools despite being complete there for 3 months, been post-secondary rejected from two schools ranked in the 20s, and have 4 interviews with schools ranked 1-20. I feel like I'm likely to get post-interview WLed at those because their averages are so high. I do not understand this process in the slightest and I have no idea whether I'm doing good or bad. 😕

I don't get this process either, but I think it involves a bunch of adcomms sitting with a magic eight-ball.
Adcom:"Does gdbaby have a chance at our med school?" Shake, shake, shake.
Eight ball:"Outlook not so good"
Adcom: "let's look at our magic-eight-ball-admissions- conversion-chart. 'Outlook not so good' converts to waitlist. Okay, put her in the 'waitlist' pile."

i've got 3 in january. just kinda worried that they're a bit late. penn state said i had to interview within 8 weeks of being given the invite, but i asked them to consider letting me do it when i was gonna be in philly (about 10 weeks rather than 8). i doubt they liked that. i'm keeping my fingers crossed for tulane.
