Depends on the school. UCSF says that it is impossible to appeal post-interview, for example.

Because they don't want you at their school. Why would they bother giving you an "appeals process?"

I've never heard of this before. Is there even a precedent outside of racial/gender discrimination? Even if such a thing happened, don't they usually recommend saying something the day of the interview rather than some drawn out legal process? Appeals just don't sound like the kind of thing that happens.
