I'm waiting to hear from them as well. I was thinking the same about their timing of notification in past years, but I feel a bit better seeing that there are a few of us who applied and still haven't heard.
 
I'm hoping we hear back from BOPs today now that the USA Jobs step is complete!
 
Any advice on how to nicely approach a situation where two sites have their interviews on the same day, you are attending one of them (the one you prefer more), yet you also need to respond to the other site regarding their invite to interview. I would like to still rank the other site, but at the same time they only have one interview date and no indication of a phone/Skype interview as an option. I'm guessing they might only rank those who come and interview in person, although cannot be sure. Thoughts?

I had this happen with 2 of my highly rated sites which both only offered one day of interviews and said they do not typically do phone or skype interviews. I just told one of the sites the truth and that I had tried to move a prior commitment, but could not and was wondering if there was any way they could be accommodating given I still really thought the site was a good fit for me. They offered to do a phone interview and told me they understood. Also, the email response from the site seemed to reassure me that this would not hurt my chance at their site.

I know that might not be typical, but there is no harm in asking, especially in your case, where you already have a preference for one over the other. Just be polite. If you are familiar with DBT, you could try to use a DEAR MAN 😀

Congrats!! I just got a rejection (mass) email from them. Even though this is a bummer, it still is nice to have some sort of notification.

Especially frustrated that Kansas sent invites BEFORE their deadline. Given all that is put into this entire process, I feel strongly that sites should at least send a mass rejection email.

Don’t give up on MUSC yet... they do rolling invites all the way till their deadline. Nobody I know from adult psychopathology or general has heard yet. Last year they didn’t give invites out for those tracks until the 29th.

Are people still hearing from Geisinger re: interviews for the peds track? Or did their emails all go out early this morning??

Kind of freaking out as I was pretty confident about getting an interview there

Princeton House Behavioral Health/Penn Medicine (any track)?

I’m not sure but my friend sent me a screenshot of the email and they do have a second list for of the initial list doesn’t respond in 3 days

Nothing from UNC school of medicine yet and I am definitely anxiously waiting for it! Looks like in previous years they’ve gone out anywhere from 11/21 to 12/1

So... what do we think about sites that still have their portals open???? Still apply-able if the deadlines were recent? (long shot, but wondering if anyone knows about this kind of thing....)

I don't think they sent out rejection emails and I'm not sure if they are planning on it. Their application due date was 11/15/18 and they mass emailed interview notifications on 11/6 and 11/16. As others suggested, MCW might have a rolling process.

Sorry to jump on the Wisconsin bandwagon, but has anyone heard from the University of Wisconsin, Department of Psychiatry. The last 2 years the invites went out on 11/7, but so far I have not seen anything so far on this years thread

I did see that, just wasn’t sure if I still had a chance since I had not heard at all and technically their notification date is by 12/3. I’ve written it off at this point but just wanted to put feelers out and see if anyone had any other info!

Ok everyone, sorry to vent but I'm started to do that spiral thing where I think I'm a piece of crap and not worthy of anything. I have two interviews and two rejections, still waiting to hear from 11 sites...but many of my cohort members who are also going for neuropsych have heard back from some of those sites and received interview invitations, and I am in that limbo of not being rejected nor invited, but I think I will be rejected. I don't know, I am the youngest one in my cohort and the others who are also going up for internship are incredibly qualified and came in with masters degrees when I came straight from undergrad. I know that it is very normal to feel this stressed, etc., but I am starting to really feel like I made a mistake with applying this year. I really just am unsure what to make of not hearing from sites that others have heard from...

I second everything you said. I have received 3 interviews, 6 rejections, and many other sites that I applied to have already sent out invites (I didn't get them). I am still waiting on 10 sites but I keep thinking that I will not get sufficient interviews/match this year.

I actually think you are doing well. 2 interviews this early in neuropsych is pretty good. Also, even if things don't work out for you matching this year (which statistically is unlikely), at least you have the benefit of practice with the entire process to make you even more competitive for next year.

I am going to follow up and say you and Neuro_focus are doing well! Remember the numbers. Average applicants apply to 15 and get 5-6. You have plenty of time.

That being said, and as my icon is a picture of Skinner, maybe the coping thoughts are not that helpful and you could try something behavioral. I was literally just running a DBT group and demonstrated The T of the TIP skill today (I put my face in ice water). We tracked my heart rate and it decreased from 116 after jogging in place to 56 in a matter of seconds. If you don't want to dunk your face, try just running your wrist under cold water (similar effect 111bpm to 63 bpm) 😀

I am waiting to hear from Kennedy Krieger - Trauma Track. Not sure if you saw my previous post, but they recently updated their page to include an interview notification date of 12/20. : - | I have no idea if this will be accurate, but I searched threads from previous years and could not find anything about the Trauma Track notification, so I have a feeling it could come ANY time (and it might not be for awhile).
 
Just heard from a friend Children's National in DC called to let people know about interviews but I dont have more info about it
