Wondering about Medical College of Wisconsin (Froedert) - apps aren’t even due until 11/15 but someone got an invite on 11/6 according to main post on first page? Any info on this? I haven’t heard yet from this site either way.

me too rejection from nationwide for pedi psych track. still waiting on intellectual disabilities track... hanging on by a thread here for dear life. going to drown my sorrows in starbucks and old vine videos +pity+
 
Has anyone reached out to a site that they had not heard from after the notification date passed? If so, did you hear back from the site?

Yes, I received confirmation of my application from California Medical Facility Psychiatric Program at Vacaville last week. No word yet on interview invitations. :yawn:

For those that have heard back from Cincinnati Children's... did you all hear a few days ago or are people still hearing today? If we still haven't heard by now should we assume a rejection?

I didn’t hear back either way but I’m putting this mentally in the rejection pile just because it looks like they did all their invites on one day last year.

While I am making this assumption based on last year's thread as well (with another site), I am trying to remind myself that this is likely not a representative sample of students applying for internship this year (nor any other year) and what appears to be true may not actually be as simple. Wishful thinking - possibly. But also worth noting.
 
Aaannnddd it's past 5 pm in Utah. I'm so disappointed they didn't send out anything on their notification date.

Is it end of business or 11:59PM in the site's time zone? I was under the impression that it is the latter. This information will come in handy for me tomorrow.

I'm sure it's technically the latter, but assumed the training director probably wouldn't stay after hours to send out emails.

Last year I received an email from a training director after 9PM, which was unexpected. I also received one very early on a Saturday morning. Both times kind of caught me off guard 🙂

I love that they want me to be more comfortable, and at the same time it feels like a trap.

I feel like this is actually not a trap because according to my DCT Steve McCutcheon is truly the nicest person ever. Also, given that it's an open house and not actually an interview and they apparently won't be taking notes on applicants (just apparently reading and rereading the appis and deciding their rank order) I think we're actually fine to go by this.

Heads up to anyone who applied to the Minneapolis VA. I'm not sure if this happened across tracks, but I know it happened at least for some neuro folks. Per the DCT, there was some sort of error in sending out interview invites and some people did not receive the initial email. They followed up yesterday with a second email around 4pm-ish, but I thought I'd throw it out there for people to be aware of. I know everyone here is obsessively checking their emails anyway, ha, but keep an eye out if you're still waiting to hear!

Thanks! I’m part of the group who didn’t get the initial invite so I was super bummed as it’s one of my top choices. I was so thrilled to receive the invite yesterday! I got it right before taking a 6 hr flight where I would have ruminated about it the whole time, so the DCT had great timing! Also, I’m standard track so it seems to have affected folks in both tracks.

I'm right there with you. I'm not a patient person when it comes to this stuff - never have been. So this is testing me on a deep level. Whatever the news is - invite vs. rejection - i just wanna know! Lol

Same, and I'm on flights to ABCT in DC all day! at least I can keep myself entertained with refreshing my email...
